Guest guest
Sat Nam Val! Pieter has sent a Meditation from Sunder to release the souls of the tsunami disaster. It is a very comforting and powerful experience. It may be helpful for you to find your way again. My thoughts are with you. Guru Ravi Meditation: Sitting cross-legged, spine straight, hands clasped in Venus lock** at the chest, index fingers pointed straight , and pressed together. Inhale lightly pressing the palms together, then chant in a soft monotone: Ad Guruay Namay Holding the palms together at the chest and letting all the air out at the end then Stretching the arms straight forward at 60 degrees stretching the shoulders and arms to open the ribs and the spine and letting the air fill the lungs from the bottom based on the movement versus effort to inhale then chant in a soft monotone Gugad Guruay Namay letting all the air out at the end then bringing the palms back again to the chest press the palms together letting the air fill deep into the lungs then chant in a soft monotone Sat Guruay Namay Holding the palms together at the chest and letting all the air out at the end then Stretching the arms straight forward at 60 degrees stretching the shoulders and arms to open the ribs and the spine and letting the air fill the lungs from the bottom based on the movement versus effort to inhale then chant in a soft monotone Siri Guru Dayvay Namay letting all the air out at the end then bringing the palms back again to the chest press the palms together letting the air fill deep into the lungs then chant in a soft monotone continue for 11 minutes (** Venus lock is the hands clasped together, fingers interlaced right over left, left thumb pressed against the base of the mound between the right index finger and thumb, right thumb pressed against the mound next to the base of the left thumb.) Guest guest
--- Dear Val, Your request for help touched me deeply for I have been lost too in my life, for decades. And I came to realize that lost is what happens before found. It's a process that takes getting used to. Now when I feel lost, I know that "This too shall pass" and I use this as a mantra to help endure the discomfort. Know that the ocean represents our unconscious. Since you are responding so strongly to this oceanic event, you may be processing a great deal of subconscious material; a good thing, and the deepest, most powerful growth of all. Be willing to stay with the mystery of it. If you wanted to share what more specifically what your sense of overwhelm is about, I could perhaps address it better. For me, the ocean and learning to swim in this last summer represents overcoming my fear of acknowleging how large & powerful I am, for to survive in it, you surrender to it and become one with its size and power. I have learned so much about flowing, rhythm, life and death from it. And I still fear it. Two quotes for you: "I think over again my small adventures, My fears, Those small ones that semed so big. For all the vital things I had to get and reach. And yet, there is only one great thing. the only ting To live to see the day that dawns And the light that fills the world." - Old Inuit Song "Love yourself for no one can be closer or share more time with you be patient and kind to yourself value your attributes appreciate your gifts Let go of the past retaining only its wisdom remain aware for your are now new." -Corita Try the Mother Principle Meditation in the book Sexuality and Spirituality available through Yogatech. "A person who is in contact with this inner cosmic principle is without fear and has courage in all circumstances, even at the darkest times". Blessed Be - all Love & Peace surround you, all Faith & Trust protect you. Love and Light from Santa Barbara, CA. Ki Soaring Eagle
