Guest guest
I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Rebecca, I've been reading this list for 3-4 months but this is the first time I've posted. I've been teaching myself Kundalini Yoga on my own with a video, book and lots of reading of this forum and website. I'd like to post a few questions from a beginning wanting to understand a few things. I've heard that it's good to wear white or light colors when practicing kundalini yoga. Why does the color affect the practice if you have your eyes closed a good portion of the time? I've also heard that wearing a cotton or natural fiber head covering is good during amrit vela. Once again, why a head covering? Why natural fiber clothes? And is this only pertinent during amrit vela? I received a light colored wool beanie for christmas and I've been using that to see if I can tell the difference. So far, my head stays warmer, but that's it. For now I'll leave it at that. Thanks for your help everyone. Rebecca
