Guest guest
Thank You Guru Ravi Kaur, Thank you for your words and encouragement. We have an appointment today with a woman who does art therapy and Ti Chi. We'll learm more about what she can offer to us today. She can integrate some breathing and energy work along with the art. I think that is a way to keep our daughter interested, yet slowly add internal control techniques. I have read Eckhard Tolles books. In fact, I recently finished a study on "Stillness Speaks" at our Quaker study group. I really conneted with his material. I can identify with the "pain body", or negative energy. What is difficult is to seperate myself from my daughters depression. I can do my practice or go to a spiritual group and definetly raise my energy, but when I am arround her the depression can seep into me. Durring school breaks it gets to be long periods and I get off balance. Also, I feel so much for her that I sort of "take it on". I went to my family doctor myself about my own depression arround this. He gave me Zoloft. I took it for 3 days, but didn't like it. Right after that I had a workshop on Yoga Nidra. I was lifted so high from it that it was obviouis I didn't need a drug, just my practice and some way to keep a balance with my daughter. Progress is slow, but she is showing interest in an Anemie (Japanese animation)convention. She loves this, and it's great to see some passion over something. She is also a bit excited about our trip to Bahamas we will be taking in a month or so. I hope we can give her some internal gifts and tools. It is good to have a passion toward the external, but as most spiritual seekers know, an internal connection is the path. The external can be a trap if you rely on it for all your satisfaction and pleasure. I appreciate your feedback.
