Guest guest
Dear Gururattan, Sat nam, Now that I see you here, I hope you can answer a question. In reply to an earlier post of mine re not sleeping enough, you ended by saying, "We only get one set of kidneys". By which I take it that sleep deprivation is detrimental to kidneys in particular. I have taken your and other's advice to heart, and try to get sufficient sleep. I am curious about the relationship between sleep and kidneys. Can you elaborate? Thank you, Kartar Kaur

Guest guest
Blessings! I too am very interested in the viewpoint you have on the depletion of vital force in the kidneys from lack of sleep/rest; I have a feeling the view is very similar to the Traditional Chinese Medicinal stance and look forward to your comments. By which I take it that sleep> deprivation is detrimental to kidneys in particular.> I have taken your and other's advice to heart, and try to get> sufficient sleep. * good. I hope you feel the difference. I am curious about the relationship between sleep > and kidneys. Can you elaborate? * I did answer this briefly a while back. I do not have technical information. My understanding and experience is that the kidneys are like a battery. They get used up in excessive mental activity, physical activity, stress and sleep deprevation. They get replenished in sleep and by reducing worry, stress and over exertion. When we get older they need more attention as our battery has been partially used up.
