I personally wouldn't do it late in the evening, as it is pretty energizing. If you do it for the first time, do only half times ! Gradually build up - ultimate goal: 40 days! Then your navel should be pretty strong :-) Another thing comes into my mind: a strong belly needs also a strong back. After building the much-loved belly muscles go for a strong back - exercises like boat or bow-pose are pretty helpful. Also cobra (if done correctly).
