Guest guest
Sat Nam Everyone. Do you recall the young man Matt that emailed re: premature Kundalini risings several months ago? (I tried to find the emails in the archives). He apparently did several short exercises and was unable to sleep and experienced strange sensations throughout his body. Well, I started doing a basic warm-up (in the Kundalini Experience) followed by the nabhi kriya, sodarshan chakra kriya, sat kriya and concluded with kirtan kriya. I did that for three or four days in a row. The first day I had an incredible sense of high energy- organizing and cleaning throughout the day. Then when it was time for bed, even though I felt tired, my body would not "shut off." Unlike Matt, I did not have rushes of electricity or anything that unusual. It is now four days in a row that I have literally been unable to sleep. I managed to catch a cold which has only exacerbated the situation. I've stopped doing the kriyas. The last time I had severe insomnia problems - five or six years ago, I eventually started taking Prozac which seemed to get me sleeping again. I took it for almost two years. If I am able to get through this without medication, I would much prefer it. Does anyone think the series of kriyas could have produced this insomnia? Does anyone have any suggestions for getting some sleep at this point? I would appreciate any suggestions you can offer. I feel like a zombie. Blessings to all. Guest guest
Breathing technique on how to sleep. Steps 1. Focus on your spiritual Heart between your two pectorals 2. Breath in fully and then breath out HALF WAY (2:1) Breathing out half way is the breathing pattern that people go into when in deep sleep. The breathing pattern is like a code put into the computer of the Brain. When you breath in fully and breath out HALF way you go into sleep. 3. Too much energy is in your head......Bring your tongue to the roof of your mouth and and imagine energy from your head is going through the tip of your tounge, down the front of your body, looping around to your base of the spine. (do this on exhale) 4. DONT "TRY" to sleep.......The more you try the further you shall be. It then becomes unnatural......practice "pretending" to yawn. 5. GET OFF prozac.... 6. Go to your local Acupuncturist. (Make sure you get good vibes from them ! ) 7. Chant this: either 18, 81, or 108 times........Om Kriya Babaji Nama Aum 8. Sleep on you RIGHT side to stimulate the yin channel of your body associated with sleep. 9. Lay down and visualize your self sleeping. and say to your self "sleeping is sleeping"
Guest guest
Hi Abinashi Kaur Follow One breath (thought/action) We can't do 12 things at once. Understand Vata (do a Google or even search our Archives -->> Kundaliniyoga/messages ) because that's a good part of what is coming up for you. You need to pacify it. Do a shortened version of the Kriya on page 84 of "Transitions to a Heart Centered World" and see how you feel. This is also a good time to embrace the grounding and expansiveness of Archer Pose. Acupuncture, massage (or any Tactile Kinesthetic Stimulation aka huggs and cuddling), Ayurveda and Cranial Sacral work are all good. Long hot baths with sesame or almond oil before bed. One minute Breath is also very good. You need to experience this "Live Wire" as something that is warm and nourishing. Warm, moist foods. No cold things or salads for little while. What is your birthday? Follow One breath, and see where it takes you. Feel free to call me. Contact me off list. Guest guest
Abinashi, Be sure you are not drinking any stimulants and what I do is deep breath, quite a few times, roll my eyes up on the inhale, relax and release when I exhale and do that three times and I am usually out. You can listen to soft music that is made to assist you to fall asleep. Writing at least 2 pages of whatever every morning when you get up or whenever you have time during the day. Read inspirational poetry or a novel. Take Calms Forte, a homeopathic. Good Luck and Blessings, Julia dkellylyon <dkellylyon wrote: Does anyone think the series of kriyas could have produced this insomnia?
