Sat meaning Truth and Nam meaning Identity, which equals your True Self, as well as, calling on the Truth of Existence. The Sat Nam mantra is used to greet another, and whilst meditating, we think, Sat on the inhale, and Nam on the Exhale. Hope this helps!
