Guest guest
sat nam everybody, i thought i'd ask this question here as there are so many knowledgeable folks in so many aspects of health. my 10 year old son has very large tonsils (always has) and seems to have trouble breathing at night. he wakes up usually around 1:30 am, and he's so tired of that happening! i had heard some things about sleep apnea and wonder if he might have it. i have read that sometimes it just "goes away," but i'm wondering if, in his case, a tonsilectomy would be a good idea. but, i understand the tonsils play a part in the immune system, and i don't want to go cutting out pieces of his anatomy unless there's very good reason. are there ayurvedic and/or yogic insights into these particular issues? i would so much appreciate any thoughts you all would care to share. thanks in advance and blessings to all. sue in seattle
