Guest guest
Sat Nam All, I would like to request everyone's help in completing a simple survey. During our teachers training course, it was mentioned to use alum and salt to cleanse the mouth. Just looking to find out how many people in this group follow this as part of their daily routine? Also, how many incorporate the use of a neti pot for nasal cleansing. From my reading and training it is recommended to cleanse nasal area to aid in opening the subtle channels of the ida, pingala, and sushumna. Why follow this practice of teeth brushing? During the night our mouths turn into an incubator for a host of different bacteria and germs. If you do not cleanse the tongue and mouth first thing upon waking you will swallow many germs and bacteria when you take your first drink of water. Which is like introducing poison into your body, so please help to keep yourself disease free by following this simple solution. Make sure to reach all the way back and clean the tongue until you gag and cough up the brown mucus that is hidden back there. These germs and bacteria not only form on the tongue but on two little glands at the back of the throat that need to be cleaned of mucus, too. Making yourself gag has the added benefit of causing the eyes to water, which in turn, helps to flush and cleanse them out. This aids in the prevention of cataracts and eye related disease. You may follow this brushing your teeth with toothpaste as the alum is a little bitter, somewhat like a lemon, but very naturalizing. This info taken from, Kundalini Yoga - The flow of eternal power, by Shakti Parwha Kaur Khalsa If you would like to help with this survey please email me directly and answer the following questions: Do you know of the alum and salt cleansing process? Do you use alum & salt mixture daily? or times per week? Do you use neti pot as part of your yoga practice? How many times per week? You can copy and paste the questions into a return email. I will compile the results and post them to the newsgroup. If anyone is interested in obtaining alum & salt mixture for their own practice, I know of a source on-line where you can buy it directly. Email me for the link. Thank you for your help, Nirinjan Singh Mail - Find what you need with new enhanced search. http://info.mail./mail_250

Guest guest
Absolutely! Aluminum alum is very toxic, don't use it, ever!!! Try cleasing the monkey glands with POTASSIUM alum. Very astringent but very beneficial. Guest guest
Hi Nirinjan Singh I have brushed and gagged with Alum and Salt pretty much everyday for 19 years. I very rarely use a Neti pot as I find that the gagging reflex by itself clears the the sinus cavities quite well.
