Guest guest
Hello everyone, I've got a question for those that know the nuts and bolts - what's the significance of the suggested period of time for many KY meditations? I must admit I haven't kept much of an eye on time, is the period to achieve optimum effect, and can not doing the correct time be detrimental in some way? Any comments would be invaluable, thanks. Guest guest
Hi Darren, It's always a good idea to double check the suggested time of the meditation. There are some that have no time limit and there are some where it is suggested to not go over a certain time limit. Here is a list of general suggested time limits. Specific amounts of processing times are needed to create certain desired effects: 3 Minutes: Circulation and blood stability is affected 7 minutes 11 Minutes: Pituitary and nerves begin to change 22 Minutes: The three minds (negative, positive, neutral) balance and begin to work together 31 Minutes: Affects your whole mind and all your bodies internal elements 62 Minutes: Your subconscious mind and positive projection are integrated 2 1/2 Hours: Holds the change of the subconscious mind throughout the day Specific cycles of time are required to change old habits and develop new ones: 40 Days: It takes 40 days to break a habit 90 Days: It takes 90 days to confirm the new habit 120 Days: The new habit is who you are 1,000 Days: You have mastered the new habit I'm sure if you list the specific meditations you are practicing, someone will know the suggested times Hope this helps, Shabad (Idaho) Kundaliniyoga, "Darren Alexander" <darrena@f...> wrote: > > Hello everyone, > > I've got a question for those that know the nuts and bolts - what's the significance of the suggested period of time for many KY meditations? Guest guest
Hello Shabad, thank you for that, yes I'll make a definite effort to keep to times. 1000 days huh, phew! What I find interesting is trying to determine whether an excuse for not keeping the regularity up is but a trick of my undisciplined mind or a genuine cause (or two, i.e. little boys!)... 8-) Specifically I'm doing long sat nams (Bij Mantra) and Guru Ram Das. Any comments on times for those appreciated. Thank you Joan for asking about kriyas too...
