Guest guest Posted March 2, 2005 Report Share Posted March 2, 2005 Lilananda Complaining and victimhood are flip sides of the same drama (in therapy the complainer/victim would switch roles and play victim/complainer so that he/she can find some empathy). It's an entanglement that is one of the most basic aspects, if not the most basic level of the mind's 81 aspects (check out "The Mind" by Yogi Bhajan and Gurucharan Singh at www.yogatech.com). To BE negative and then to blame someone is pretty limiting. That really has to move. It doesn't allow for taking the full responsibility which stems from a refusal to accept guilt or blame. By refusing to accept responsibility we can never learn life's lessons and can never find the state of gratitude for the fruits that our sufferings can give rise to. Complaining serves to announce victimhood & elicit sympathy. Neither provide growth.
