Guest guest
Quotes about Sadhana: Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga, gave many lectures on the importance of Sadhana. Here are some of the things he said. "Sadhana gives fearlessness and a sense of self, as well as projection, polarity combination, equilibrium, respectability, totality, internal and external self-knowledge, purity, dignity, divinity, and grace...You become a shining, living grace." "All these changes that you are seeing in your personality did not happen because you got counseled, or your teacher was great. You all changed because you wanted to change and you did sadhana. Sadhana changed you...The ultimate approach is when you want to change, and you do sadhana. Then you shall change." "The greatest reward of doing sadhana is that the person becomes incapable of being defeated. Sadhana is a self-victory and it is a victory over time and space. Getting up is a victory over time, and doing it is a victory over space." "Always do some sadhana no matter how short, because every effort of the individual mind to meet the Universal Self is reciprocated a thousand-fold." Guest guest
Could you please define Sadhana? It is spiritual practice, yes? Should it consist of kriyas, chanting, meditation? Should it be a certain amount of time? If I do a kriya every day am I doing Sadhana? If I do a meditation every day am I doing Sadhana? I want to make sure what I am doing is Sadhana. thank you, Kartar Kaur In Kundaliniyoga, D H A R A M <pran-_yogi@s...> wrote: > > Quotes about Sadhana: > Yogi Bhajan, the Master of Kundalini Yoga, gave many lectures on the > importance of Sadhana. It should consist of what you need to do. It should be a challenge (getting up in the amrit vehla, for example. It's not REQUIRED (in all caps) but it is a challenge)Some people's sadhana consists of service to others, feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, chanting the Name of God, strengthening the body and mind through yoga. It could consist of many things. As a yogi there should be some yoga involved. And if yoga is involved meditation should follow. > Should it be a certain amount of time? 10% of your day should be devoted to spiritual practices. > If I do a kriya every day am I doing Sadhana? Yes, that is part of the sadhana as prescribed by Yogi Bhajan > If I do a meditation every day am I doing Sadhana? See above. > > I want to make sure what I am doing is Sadhana.
