Alternating between Camel Pose and Yoga Mudra helps bring a natural beauty to one's complexion. A nice complexion is just one of the benefits to many of the set/Kriyas. Also, don't for get the importance of Ishnaan (aka Hydrotherapy aka a cold shower. Check archives for the many posts on this). The creative nature of a woman requires this more than a man, and this man does it everyday. > Also, any kind of oils/cream that could be used for > the face/skin daily for the same? Make sure you include in your daily diet 1 teaspoon each of Olive oil, Sesame oil, and Almond oil. Also, anytime when there is acne it is often do to the blood not be very clean. Some cleansing of the liver is what will remedy the situation. Liver cleansings are what will help with much of what we deal with in this world of processed foods, polluted water and air. Sweat, laugh and drink yogi tea EveryDay. > How can dark circles around the eyes be prevented by a > yogic way? A lot of time the dark circles (darkness) under the eyes are related to "taxing" of the adrenals. If we leave the house (day after day after day) without a balance and a sense of "rightness" in our heart, we end up living from our adrenals. Drinking coffee "gooses" the adrenals. "Adrenal behavior" is one of fear, not feeling one's innocence and feeling unsupported by the world in general. Sound familiar? (It's a war out there!) We all have some of this going on. Wheel pose (part of Kriya for Pelvic Balance) is great for Kidney meridian ( http://www.sahej.com/meridians.html ) People born in August (Karma of Eight) often have this darkness under their eyes. What is very, very soothing for the kidneys and the overall state is a watermelon fast. Women do three days of nothing but watermelon. Men may need to 11 days. You eat a lot and pee alot. Everything will be LOVE when the kidneys are deeply soothed. I would appreciate any feedback from you or others who try this diet. Also, cornsilk tea. Guest guest
Akkama, Thanks for the Sunshine! Regarding oils, you take internally 1 teaspoon each of the oils (not one tablespoon, as you wrote). I have no input for you on the use of canola except to say fried food, generally speaking, will not be good for your over all blood pH. Lightly sautéed is better. Here is a recipe for Yogi Tea @ http://www.sahej.com/yogi_tea.html More on blood/liver cleansing, and body pH @ http://www.sahej.com/The_Cleanse_Brochure.pdf Gotta go to sleep.
