Guest guest
Sat Nam: Hi, I am new to the KY group and would like to introduce myself. My name is Brenda and I live in PA. I have been reading everyone's E-mails and learning as I go and have decided to jump in to greet everyone and ask some questions. I have pulled info off of the many websites and briefly reviewed the questions and answers about KY. I have practiced silent meditation in the past and hatha yoga and ordered a Sanskrit Mantra tape and found it very interesting and useful. I have practiced mantras for abundance and protection in the past. I feel compelled to explore and practice the Sadhana and Mul Mantras and believe there is healing in practicing these. I have now been led to KY and the kriyas and mantras and am practicing the postures and chanting. I have started with Sat Nam (the seed mantra) and also have been chanting Sa Ta Na Ma Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Se So Hung. And I love the soundtracks of the CD's offered on www.yogatech.com/index.html and am planning on ordering as soon as I choose a favorite. I am leaning towards Shanti (Snatum Kaur) and have had some astounding affects by briefly listening to Triple Mantra exerpt by Gurunam - Joseph Michael Levry. I am challenged at times with pronouncing the mantras correctly and was wondering if anyone knows of a website that provides an example of the correct pronunciation/translation? For example: SAT, I understand rhymes with Hot or Tom. And Nam rhymes with But or Mom vs. Pam. Hrim = reem and Srim = scream. Could someone please tell me how to pronounce "Bhee"? I have come across a few Mudra meditations that I would like to incorporate into my Sadhana and was wondering if anyone can offer up a Mudra meditation and/or Mantra for releasing an ancient preverbal pattern that is triggered when I am in certain situations? I have been going round-about this for many years now and still feel like I have not been able to breakthrough this. I think the underlying feelings are shame, fear, panic, embarrassment, feeling powerless and wanting to flee. It is the strangest thing to me, I could wrap this up by saying that my behavior is unrealistic to the situation that is taking place. I know better, but I feel unable to act any differently, these strange feelings/behavior kicks in immediately. I am putting this out there and would appreciate anyone's feedback or if you want to take it off-line, please e-mail me personally at bsnyder. Thank you all for being there, Brenda

Guest guest
Sat Nam Everyone, I am also new to the KY group, Natalie from Melbourne, Australia. Best wishes to all from my end of the world. Thanks Kartar for this meditation link, I have tried the meditation once and found it quite powerful despite, I suspect not quite doing it properly. Found it difficult to visualise/feel the sounds entering and leaving my head and as described in the instructions ended up with a slight headache. If anyone has any suggestions for making this process easier, I would love to hear them!! May the long time sun shine upon you, Natalie
