Guest guest
dear karma, on this list recently there was more discussion about sadhana and what it is; if you search the archives for 'sadhana' you might find those other messages. what i got from some of those postings - which isn't immediately apparent from the responses you are getting now - is that sadhana refers to a daily, committed, spiritual practice. in the earlier discussion, it was pointed out that it is not a matter of how much time, or even what exactly you do, as long as you do something to connect with God and the divine. that something might be 2-1/2 hours of yoga, meditation and chanting of scriptures very early in the morning; it might also be volunteering with local schoolchildren; it might also be dancing alone to your favorite music. i don't want you to think there is only one way to do it. the discipline described by adarsh is not one that everyone is ready for, or ever will achieve. it is an ideal prescribed by yogi bhajan (as i understand it) for this age (the age of aquarius). [other readers please correct me if i am mistaken!] the great thing about sadhana is that, it is what you make it! make it wonderful and meaningful for YOU. by all means, try the 2-1/2 hour experience adarsh describes; i did it two or three times and it was amazing! but i am waaaaaay too lazy to do it every day! sat nam, sat nam, wahe guru!! sue in seattle Strauch, Sarita wrote: > Sat nam Adarsh and thanks for your advice > Please, where can I get SADHANA? > Many thanks, > Karma >
