Guest guest
Hi there, I have been practicing Kundalini for 5 years now though I was into Hatha before. I finally decided I was ready to follow a teaching course which takes almost a year and half. Now after reading your post and see that I can become a Kundalini teacher in 3 weeks. Are you really kidding or would you, perhaps, have a real explanation about your successful Kundalini teaching course. I am also into Sat Nam Rasayan, Do you also have intesive courses on that?. Please, be serious. We are all into learning, no marketing thanks. Sat Nam, Gurusher Kaur
Guest guest
There are two different KY teaching programs that one can take...one lasts about 8 months and involves one weekend a month usually and these can be found in most of the major centers. The other option is the "intensive Course" where all of the material is taught in a 3 week period and you live together as a group for that time period. Other than the one offered by Gurmukh, there is The Master's Touch in New Mexico as well......and I believe Gururattan is teaching a training course as well? The intensives work better for people who are not near a big ceneter and would have to travel in order to take the course every month. Post your free ad now! Guest guest
Sat Nam, As Sat Sangeet Kaur explained there are two general formats to KY teacher training. (1) One for locals where it is possible to spread the timing over a period of months. (2) One in a consolidated period of time for people attending from many places around the world. To meet the requirments of Yoga Alliance (the umbrella organization that sets the standards for all yoga training courses) there must be 160 contact hours with the principal teachers. We have created the Kundalini Rising Academy (accredited with Yoga Alliance), which is offering both forms of KY Teacher Training courses. My sister Kirin Kaur and myself are currently teaching a KY Teacher Training course in San Diego for those living close by. Our format is 18 Sundays in a 5 month period and 20 Wednesdays. This is working our fabulously. There is continuity, no stressful pressure from crowded weeks and a delightful flow which is producing a lot of evolutionary shifts that are well integrated. Kundalini Rising is also offering our first onsite intensive KY Teacher Training course near Austin Texas at the beautiful, devotional retreat center Barsana Dham. This will be held the 12-23 of October 2005 and 12 days in April 2006. We considered many factors in this two part design of the course. The consolidated format allows those from many places in the world who have been asking me to teach TT courses to attend. Being together in a natural healing environment allows participants to focus their attention without the pressures of their daily lives. To avoid the "cram as much as you can into 22 days" necessity of the one time courses, we have choosen to divide our course in two parts, one in the fall and one in the spring. We will present the basic concepts at the first course with instructions on how to practice and integrate these. Participants will have time to study the material, do their personal sadhanas and achieve a certainly level of awareness before the second course. We will set up a means to communicate between sessions. It will be delightful to reconnect in the spring with our experiences and to move to the next level together. Gurusher Kaur, to address specifically other points. >> I have been practicing Kundalini for 5 years now though I was into Hatha >> before. I finally decided I was ready to follow a teaching course *Yes it takes time and daily practice be ready to teach. And our "training" as a teacher never ends. Those who feel called to teach, whatever their stage, can be supported in moving forward with their desire to share with others. >> which takes almost a year and half. * It is great you have this opportunity available to you locally. Where do you live? Every teacher has something special to share. We are encouraging those who have taken other trainings to join us too. We will have the information about our fall training on the website soon and will let you know when we do. Many blessings, Gururattan Kaur :+)
