Guest guest
I thought Nirmal meant harmony.....at least that is what I was told when I received my spiritual name in 1998. Guest guest
Sat Nam, A friend of mine recently recieved a spiritual name and there was a lot more written about it than just a few words. There was actually quite a description included, which is not at all like what most of the people I know, recieved, with their spiritual name request. Most people just got a few words said about it. So perhaps now that Nirinjin is responsible for the handing out of spiritual names, she does it with a little more flair in the descriptions than Yogi Bhajan included with his? Which I think is understandable, women tend to use alot more words, then men, to say the same thing..atleast i find it to be true for me as a women! ha ha! Guest guest
SAT NAM, "Nirmal" is a sanskrit word. It gets split into Nir + Mala which means "That which has no dirt" in other words "Which is pure". Guest guest
If Yogi Bhajan or Bibiji (his wife) told you or wrote to you that Nirmal meant harmony.. That is true for you. The literal meaning is meaningful as well. But please don't discount what you were told. That was very special. Even now if you don't quite remember that harmony is what you were told. that must have been so meaningful to you that that's what you remembered all these years. There's a reason why Harmony is meaningful to you. Let your heart sing. Awtar S.

Guest guest
Sat Nam Awtar Singh, I agree with you. I applied for my spiritual name while attending the Master's Touch Teacher's Training in 1998, and I assume that Yogi Bhajan gave me my name. When I received it via mail shortly after I returned from training in New Mexico, I called his office to ask for the meaning of Nirmal Kaur. I was told it meant princess of the beautiful flow of harmony. I definitely need more harmony in my life! I was also told to meditate on my name, and its meaning is my dharma. Blessings, Nirmal Kaur - <kundalini_yoga <Kundaliniyoga> Monday, February 06, 2006 5:08 AM Re: Kundalini Yoga Spiritual Name > If Yogi Bhajan or Bibiji (his wife) told you or wrote to you that Nirmal > meant harmony..
