Guest guest
Hello, Everyone, I am fairly new to this site and wish to introduce myself. My name is Betty and I am planning on taking the Kundalini Teachers course, beginning on Saturday, April 16; it is a 6-month course. I have never taken one public KY class, but have done a couple of classes using DVDs, my yoga backround is primarily with Bikram. My question is, can consistent practice of KY repair a torn ligament in a hand/wrist area? I found out through an MRI that that is what is wrong and was scheduled to have surgery. Due to it being a workers comp claim and "red-tape", they denied my surgery. Because a lot is happening at this moment, i.e., my boss is leaving,I will have no job in 2 weeks, and I have this small problem with my hand, I am nervous to have surgery through regular insurance as I will have no coverage for pay for the time I am off; also I will not be able to work for permanent employment. Did not mean to write a book, just need to make a wise decision to repair my left hand, i.e., surgically or through KY yoga. I am also thinking, but the clock is ticking, of canceling my KY Teachers Training class; I am so afraid with all that is going on, I will not focus as needed.... or, maybe this is just what I need to get me through this rough time. Your input is most appreciated at this time. Blessings, Betty from Phoenix
Guest guest
Hi Betty, The quick and short of it is you should not have surgery. Traditional Chinese Acupuncture is phenomenal in its effectiveness with torn and damaged ligaments. Three treatments and you'll be amazed. The one thing I will say is once you feel that it is healed, do not go out and test it. Go easy on it for a few weeks and allow the full strength to come gradually. I healed my knee by going to a clinic at an acupuncture school in my area. Interns treated me and all was healed in a month (3 treatments). I have had two friends with knee injuries (one was using two crutches) who were scheduled for surgery and both times acupuncture healed the situations completely. Kundalini yoga has positive effects on the meridians but don't depend on it to do such healings, especially as a beginner. Glad to answer any more questions on this. Gotta get to sleep. Guest guest
Hello, Dharam, So pleased to get your email and some direction. I did practice Bikram Yoga for several months and it helped with tendonitis problem, but the pain from the torn ligament still persisted. I understand how the Chinese Acupuncture could help tremendously and appreciate your direction. Thank you, again, Sat Nam, Betty - D H A R A M<pran-_yogi Kundaliniyoga<Kundaliniyoga> Friday, April 15, 2005 8:20 PM Re: Kundalini Yoga Torn Ligament in Hand/Wrist Area and Use of Kundalini Hi Betty, The quick and short of it is you should not have surgery. Guest guest
There is much that can be done to aid in the natural healing of your hand. As far as supplements are concerned, there is an excellent TCM Herbal supplement called "The Great Mender" (Plum Flower Brand) and also "LigaPlex" which is often supplied by Chiropractors. 1000 mg of MSM taken with 1000 mg of vitamin C will also help. If you need assistance with locating these supplements or would like more information on holistic healing, please contact me at _IntuitiveHealers_ (IntuitiveHealers) . Blessings and Be Well!
