Guest guest
Sat nam, I have a question about colors and their meaning... For example, the colors of my Yoga Studio are a variation of lavender-purple and bright- green..hard to describe, but breath-taking to me. The color purple that turns the read vs un-read messages to a lavender & almost aquarmarine green. It came from my business card logo that I fell in love with. I have a fairly proper understanding of the chakra colors and green promoting abundance & prosperity. I See these colors Everywhere, like the posting about numbers everywhere & Sat Sangeet's great input on the significance of 9-1-1. Any answers why the combination of these 2 particular colors??? Guest guest
Sat Nam Nirmal, The Green is special and just enjoy it. Perfect your breath and give it to your highest self. Regarding purple, I hate to be the bearer of, perhaps, disturbing news BUT, too much lavender-purple can be destructive. A little is good as it cuts the Maya (illusion) and is indicative that one is "remaking" their world, which is good in proportion, but to be always flipping your reality can't be peace inducing. Remember G.O.D. is Generate - Organize - Destroy If we are always destroying ( inner anger), we undercut our ability to Generate and Organize, so beware the Lavender. Sat Nam, Dharam Singh P.S. you ever try this http://www.sahej.com/inner_anger-one.html ?? nirmalkaurgvw wrote: > > > Sat nam, > > I have a question about colors and their meaning... Guest guest
You're creating your reality by how you think. If you think that lavender-purple is destructive, then by all means, it will be...for you. Understand that colors are just frequencies of light, that when emitted, produce an effect in the brain. It is your attitude toward each color that determines your mood when you experience it. Some colors will naturally be more appealing and less appealing to you, because they are frequency vibrations, and you are a vibrating entity. So based on your frequency, there are colors that will sing more in harmony with you. Everyone is different and responds differently to each color. No colors should be feared as destructive, etc. That is only a label you have placed on it. Rob The Green is special and just enjoy it. Perfect your breath and give it to your highest self. Guest guest
Thanks, Rob! I had my house painted purple, deep red and green about a year ago & felt a brief moment of concern about living in a "destructive" environment. I chose to love the colors anyway and you have validated that choice! Guest guest
Sat Nam all, Destruction is not a bad thing. It is an integral part of the cycle of Generate, Organize and Destroy (G.O.D.). Each part has its time and function and in proportion everything is fine. It is only in western minds that something is either bad or good (eg. Ganja aka marijuana). In Christianity you have the Father, Sun and the Holy Ghost. In India you Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva,...it's all the same. Shiva is the destroyer but there is liberation in that process so that we can go on to rebirth, sustaining/organizing, and more liberation. Everything in proportion. For a person to insist on purple/violet may be saying something about about a person's temperament that could need addressing. These colors are cyclical as is everything in nature. In proportion a little Violet/purple is the color representative of "nobility in purpose" among other things. Once that purpose is fulfilled, we can relax - it has ripened and is ready to fall to the ground (and only ripe fruit falls to the ground)....and we then move on. (thoughts of Homer and the Odyssey are coming to me and the return to Ithaca) I've been there, personally, and saw these colors in my own aura and knew my thought process at that time. When my thoughts and actions changed, so did the colors in my aura. This has nothing to do "attitudes" towards colors,.... this is way beyond that. The colors correspond to our inner reality and DO NOT LIE. Our words may be saying one thing, but the aura will be "dead on" accurate. In terms of clothing, wear white - you'll be covered, especially if you're teaching Kundalini Yoga. The light of the sun has all the colors within in. http://www.whitedharma.com/white2.html http://www.whitedharma.com/white3.html I hope no one is taking offense with my explanation this time. Wurds can mess you up everytime. Guest guest
Sat Nam Nirmal, Your experience of your life is difficult for you, at this time. You have to know it will pass. Things will settle for you through alternate nostril breathing as suggested by Gururattan Kaur. This is real important for all women whenever around their menopausal years with the shift in hormones. Do it for 11 minutes a day, at minimum. Keep your eye/mental focus at the tip of your nose and really complete the exhalation. Additionally, this is a good time to listen to and chant with Chatr Chakr Vartee continuously. You can hear a sample at go/start.cgi/store/shop.html?showprod=CD11031 It will help you master the Air Element and stabilize your Vata (nervous + fear, scatteredness) into Prana (the fearlessness of a child, purity and innocence, healing). It was written by Guru Gobind Singh and will give you steadiness, forward movement, and connect you with that sense of Nobility. There are some 200 hormones in our endocrine system that need to be balanced, so it's an absolute wonder we're all not losing it! Men too, especially. Yogiji would joking say that men have PMS everyday of the month. Down the road when through this tense time, one way to know if what I suggested earlier is applicable is by actually doing the Inner Anger set. It's like applied Kinesiology (muscle testing), in that sense, as you can know if it is right for but doing it and you'll be able to tell if it is speaking to your particular need shortly after. You may be tempted to shorten the time as the the navel point work in the beginning is an absolute KILLER but that's what Yogiji was trying to do - to really poke and provoke our internalized anger, but in such a way that the response was contained and controlled, and not wastefully expressed. Really tune in and set your space. You might want to do Archer Pose as described below, before you start. Sat Nam, Dharam Singh reminder ( http://www.sahej.com/inner_anger-one.html ) Archer Pose If done as one of the warm ups it will make the rest of your practice much easier and penetrating. I do it with Breath of Fire. Five to ten minutes a day on each side is recommended. I finish by holding the posture with 3 long complete breaths with the eyes closed and then go into Baby Pose for 3 minutes to ground and soften the effects before I go on. Guest guest
Dearest Dharam, I am so scattered I did not see this post until you pointed it out to me! That's the whole deal: I am so scattered at the present, I have much restlessness and inability to do Anything for longer than a minute or so! My daily practice/meditation is practically nill, however yesterday I Did complete my Adi Mantra & Meditation for 15 minutes, which is a Huge Step for me right now! The alternate nasal breathing I can only do for a couple of minutes without feeling suffocated! It will Be Extremely hard for me to do this inner anger set, although I have it copied. About all I can do is the set for "Overall Health," kria using 3 postures, from Gurunam's "Divine Doctor," but even that for half the repetitions and time. I just ordered his latest CD, "The Seal of Higher Destiny, and also his CD "Greenhouse," so now I have all of his CD's and books. I also ordered from yogatech "Healing Hands,The Teachings of Yogi Bhajan,The Mind," with Gurucharan and 2 yogic teas. TIME!!! I want Out of Time and Space to merge with I AM; TO BE Brought Home! I Desire This With ALL of My HEART. Thank You For ALL of Your Help. You will (Mabe So!) never know Just How Much Yours and Other''s LOVE Has Helped me!!! Many Blessings, Love & Light, Nirmal Kaur the wildwoman > Sat Nam Nirmal, > Your experience of your life is difficult for you, at this time. You > have to know it will pass. Guest guest
Dear Nirmal, it occurs to me that perhaps your deeply held desire to be out of time and space is what is effecting your ability to be fully present within time and space (and able to sustain an anchor in time and space so as to be able to consistently practice). While I can understand the urge to leave ones body and to merge with the ALL, part of the challenge (and gift) of being human is operating within the mundane spheres of time and space. We are ultimately always part of ALL, the feeling of being separate is one that we create through our own beliefs about being separate. Perhaps it may help if you look within your heart to see if there's possibly something in the here and now that you would like to avoid by not being present in your body and this moment of time? What we don't accept about ourselves can be the very thing that keeps us separate from the infinite. I have found that for myself (and it may be different for others) that to be one with ALL I very much need to be entirely present in the now, I need to go deep into the heart of time and space through the wonderous opening of the present moment which then blossoms into infinity. I hope this may be of some use to you, if not blessings upon your path. peace and love Ovasoul > > TIME!!! I want Out of Time and Space to merge with I AM; TO BE Brought > Home!
