It's a kriya originally taught by Yogi Bhajan as the Exercise to strengthen the nervous system and Open the Heart. First, lie on your back, hands by your sides and relax. ( I like to put on the Guru Ram Das chant) Then very slowly inhale and bring your left palm to your lips and kiss it; exhale, return it to the mat and do the same with the right. Continue slowly for 11 minutes. Feel you are giving and receiving a blessing, moving consciously with the breath, kissing your palms as you would kiss a lover. After 11 minutes, with your eyes stil closed, bend your kneew to your chest, tuck your hands behind your knees. Hold tightly and bring your legs over your head, parallel to the ground(as in plough, it helps to lift fromt he navel) Then slowly bend knees and return to the sarting position.. Continue steadily for 5 min. Then, Relax as you would after any kriya. I hope you'll enjoy this one as much as I do. It calms and opens the heart and makes you feel good, energetic and focussed.
