Try this asanas for the heart center, "This exercise helps release constrictions in the chest area. It stimulates the points normally used to treat cardiovascular problems and counteracts bad posture. This one is called "flapping wings". 1. Stand with the arms outstretched. 2.Stretch your arms backwards without bending the elbows so that you feel pressure in your shoulder blads. 3. Keep bending your hands backwards. 4. Inhale and raise your chest up and outwards. Exhale, keeping the arms oustretched bring your palms together in front of you, curving the spine slightly forward. 5. Take your hands back on the inhalation. As if you were flapping your wings. 6. Bring them forward on the exhalation. Crossing the heart 1. Sit cross-legged if possible 2. Place your right hand in the left armpit and your left hand in the right armpit. 3. Close your eyes and feel your heart beating. 4. Attempt to located the heart space and meditate upon it. A vision of a blue lake and a blue lotus may appear during this pose.
