In AA we have a practice of checking an idea with another alcoholic.

I am applying the same principal here in checking this thought with the

wisdom of this group. A woman I am helping has practiced KY, although

has not for a number of years. She has recently resumed a Siddha (sp)

yoga meditation practice. She is also diagnosed and taking medication

for manic depression. As she was talking about her experiences her

focus seemed to be on the energy she felt with the awakening of the

Kundalini and I almost felt the manic in her as she was describing her

experience. My intuition says to start her with some first chakra sets

and long deep breathing to bring her back to earth. This is the first

time that I have had a very strong sense of suggesting a particular

practice to another human being and I'd love to have suggestions.

Sat Nam Joan,

that is one of the beauties of this group is that we

do share our thoughts & suggestions...we learn from

each other...smiles

I love how you felt so strongly on what you feel you

should share with this woman & I feel that intuitively

we do know what we need to do, so personally I say

right on sister, follow your instincts (:

& yes I could see where you would feel like starting

at the root would be a good place to start, because it

is important to have our "roots" planted firmly in the

ground to stay grounded...& like you said, bring her

back to earth...& yeah personally I too would suggest

long, slow, deep alternate nostril breath (minimum of 3

min to start)...

even working on the first three (the lower

triangle)you could also consider...

also, do her numerology & this will also give some

insight & share some suggestions on things she needs

to work on that you can suggest to her...

ex: I have a student who has manic episodes & in her

chart was suggested that she do Warrior Pose, which

for her has helped tremendously so that she feels that

she can handle whatever life throws her way (her

words)smiles...

bless you, Jiwan Shakti
