Guest guest
Sat Nam Gururattan, You mentioned in one of your articles that working the twelve steps and having the assistance of a competent therapist can help one to process unresolved anger and issues. I finally bit the bullet so to speak and found a competent therapist. She thinks I have a combination of post traumatic stress and/or major depression. I'm not sure if I would have made this much progress without the strength and insights I have gained from kundalini yoga. I'm also a member of the Destiny of Women discussion group. I have been doing a morning sadhana - combination of Gurmukh's video and kirtan kriya. Do you have any suggestions re: more appropriate kriyas or exercises during this process? It seems that all of them are beneficial in one way or another, but then there's only so many hours in a day. Thank-you for sharing your experience and wisdom with all of us. I will be forever grateful for the healthy, happy and holy individuals who contribute to this group. Special love and blessings, Abinashi
Guest guest
Dear Abinashi, That is great you have found a competent therapist. Therapy can give you clarity about what your programs and stories are. At some point you have to find the power within to stop them and to relate instead to your infinity. KY is designed for that. It is a process. We aware and also patient with yourself. The spiritual reason we are depressed is that we don't relate to our infinity, soul and heart. True happiness comes when we find the sacred within ourselves. So this should be your goal in your KY practice. The set on Gurumukhs video is very challenging so it will help release blocks. But you should be very vigilant in taking advantage of the spaces between exercises (even turn off the video for a few minutes) to be in our own silence and stillness. Go inside and see the space within your head and let this space expand to your heart. Be sure to do this at the end of the set and then after Kirtan Kriya too. This is critical to integrate and take advantage of the changes created by doing the exercises. At some point you could do some heart opening meditation. That will make you feel good i.e. anti-depression. Since you suffer from post traumatic stress be kind to yourself during your practice and during the day. This can reverse the stress syndrome. > I'm also a member of the Destiny of Women discussion group. *Great. The two meditations at the end of Destiny are perfect heart openers. Many blessings to you, (and to all the women of the world reclaiming their power!) Gururattan Kaur :+)
