Guest guest
Namaste. I hope that everyone is well and centered. I need a pice of information. What direction ones bed should be pointed, another word what direction the head should be positioned?:to the West or to the East? I think it's West, but not sure. Also I would like to hear about the best way to detoxify once body _ NOT because of drugs or alcohole...just general detox. There are so many ways and so many pills/poweders and etc on the internet and each of them claims to be THE ONE - my head is spinning. I I would be very greatful. Bless your day and all right doings. Guest guest
Sat Nam Marina, From what I Yogi Bhajan saying it didn't deem to matter whether your head or feet are facing East. His exact words with regard to sleeping North-South was that "you would absorb the entire negativity of the planet". In terms of cleansing, I have had profound results with the "Arise and Shine" Cleanse ( http://www.sahej.com/The_Cleanse_Brochure.pdf ) and the price is right if you know a representative, as I do and one who also happens to be an RN and can vouch for the results as she is now built a full time practice around assisting folks in doing this cleanse. It takes 3-4 weeks and may seem long but should take some time to undo bad habits - anybody saying it takes a lot less is pulling both your legs down past your ankles. Also, at that length it becomes a Sadhana in that there is schedule that must be maintained regarding when to eat or ingest something. This cleanse and anything worthy of your time and energy will not only clear your body but your mind be very clear with an improvement in ones outlook on life. You'll also have lots of energy which is a good measure of how well your body is handling the cleanse. Take a look in the archives for "cleanse", "psyllium", "clay", "ph" for many more posts on this very subject. Guest guest
Sat Nam Dharam, Just to clarify what you replied to Marina about sleeping direction? Did Yogi Bhajan say we shouldn't sleep North-South, but East -West is OK?The reason I ask is because I have just had a Spring clean and re-organisation of the room where I sleep-which is also my yoga room-and I had a person come help me who does Feng Shui. She said that from the correct Feng-Shui perspective I must have my bed face North-South. It did face East -West but now I sleep with my head in the North and my feet towards the South.I was wondering whether I should turn it so that my head would be in the West and my feet in the East? I do feel I have slept better since moving the bed than before and also I am waking up earlier, whereas I found it a major challenge to open my eyes and get up out of bed for Sadhana before. I would appreciate your advice Thanks Guru Sahai Kaur From what I Yogi Bhajan saying it didn't deem to matter whether your head or feet are facing East. His exact words with regard to sleeping North-South was that "you would absorb the entire negativity of the planet".
Guest guest
sleep on the left side... during the night you should breathe mostly on the right nostril. --- Mar <igemini48 wrote: > Namaste. > > I hope that everyone is well and centered. > I need a pice of information. Guest guest
Yes Guru Sahai Kaur, that is correct (sorry for the slight typographical errors), Yogi Bhajan said NOT to sleep North-South. I will ponder this one for a while, along with many other questions and ideas on my desktop. Yogiji will say things and I know he is is coming from some great perspective, and after days, months or even years, I'll get all the pieces together and I'll understand a little of what he understands and a little of HOW he understands. Classical Ayurveda is part of his perspective but his absolute mastery of the domain of KUNDALINI is another perspective I can only bow to. Feng Shui is another system I have only limited knowledge of but I imagine that on some level there is something in common between the two and that they may be entirely speaking the same language. The original "seers" or sages, be they from Asia, Africa or North America saw something. It's from their observances that we now have "Yoga", the Yogic lifestyle and many other practices. It is possible to know too much, which can feed doubt, depending on how we use information. Yogiji also said it isn't compassionate to be Lazy OR Fanatical. There is a middle path even within this Dharma. What might be fun sometime is to have acupuncturist observe your pulses when you sleep in different directions and see if there is something worth noting. If you feel great when you wake up, what more can a person ask for. How long ago was this change? Is it still the case? I know if I eat wrong for too long my sleep suffers and I don't wake up a happy camper. Also, I find I sleep best when during the day I fully extended myself, be it physically or mentally (creatively). It's then that I can fully relax and rejoice, I dare say. Guest guest
Sat Nam, actually in Kundalini Yoga practice, we recommend that you sleep on your right side as to give your heart a rest & to breathe out of the left nostril which is the moon side, cooling,& relaxing breath... with many blessings, Jiwan Shakti PS-I had asked the other day if anyone knew Shabd Kriya, please no need to go thru the effort of sending it, I found it in the "KY Meditation Manual for Intermediate Students" on page 50.(If anyone else is interested it is a good one to help prepare for sleep).Sat Nam --- yoosh <yoosh_go wrote: > sleep on the left side... > during the night you should breathe mostly on the > right nostril. > > --- Mar <igemini48 wrote: > > Namaste. > > > > I hope that everyone is well and centered. > > I need a pice of information. Guest guest
Sat Nam Wow its been awhile since i've posted, but just wanted to share my sleeping patterns (be it habitual or rather erroneous i've switched my sleeping position a few months ago to a North-South, my head north, feet south, and it has been a great improvement! I have a found it much easier to wake up in the morning and feel more refreshed, not so groggy. I do think that there is a feng-shui aspect to it, though i'm no expert. I give alot of respect to the knowledge and do agree that the way your home is built and where you place your furniture has a great lot to do with how the energy travels. There's no doubt you'll feel a difference changing the direction of your bed, if it feels right, do it. I just know what feels good to me, haha! So far North and South has been lovely. Breathe in the world and breathe out peace Ry
