Sat Nam, All

It's been a while since I've written. I was a newby in March and would

jump in with lengthy messages. I have not been able/committed to

completing a 40 day meditation, so I've been doing what I can and still

reviewing the group E-mails.

I just want to tell everyone that these E-mails with words of

encouragement, enlightment, and sharings mean a lot to me. Even when a

member is addressing someone in particular, I too can often relate to

that person's feelings or situation and the well wishes and guidance

that you people freely share touches my heart (and probably many others)

also and I wanted to let you know this and express my gratitude.

This message is to Elaine and Judy and anyone else that would be

interested in a 40 day meditation. I understand that you were looking

for someone to join you for a 40 day meditation for prosperity. I would

like to join you in your 40 day meditation for prosperity. I choose to

do this for the human challenge as a path to personal empowerment and a

way to serve others. I know that wealth is so much more than money so I

will do a mantra meditation with you to discover and be open to what it

may be. And of course, we'll start out with our Adi mantra.

Below I offer up another prosperity mantra meditation from new

millennium being. This was a feature in Issue 41, A prosperity Pardigm

Shift. Some interesting reading...talked about magnetism, grounding and

awareness, gratitude and so forth.

Please let me know which meditation you choose to do.

I am open to any. I saw a posting for "Finances-Har" and the mantra

from Gururattan's site...the AP SAHAEE HOA, etc., and a posting of the

Shabd Kriya, but I'm not sure what the Subagh Kriya is.

See info re: Issue 41, A Prosperity Pardigm Shift:

Prosperity mantras and meditations facilitate our alignment with

universal energies. Consider the following mantra and meditation.

Har Har Har Har Gobinde (Go bin day)-Sustainer

(Pronounced with a slight aspirated "a" at the end but not "har ra"

Har Har Har Har Mukunde (Moo kun day)-Liberator

Har Har Har Har Udare (Ooo da ray)-Enlightener

Har Har Har Har Apare ( A pa ray)-Infinite

Har Har Har Har Haring (Har ee ung)-Destroyer

Har Har Har Har Karing (Car ee ung)-Creator

Har Har Har Har Nirname (Nir na may)-Nameless

Har Har Har Har Akame (A ka may)-Desireless

This mantra is chanted pumping the navel center (below the navel) with

each Har, using the tip of the tongue. The "HHH" is felt at the heart

center.

The "H" sound of HAR opens the heart. Pumping the navel with each HAR

pulls energy into the physical reality. If we meditate on the meaning

of each of the other parts of this mantra, we realize that it contains

all the aspects of God. Chanting this mantra imprints our aura and

being with these qualities and aligns us with universal energies.

This mantra has 40 sounds. It effects the 5 tattvas (air, water, fire,

earth, and ether), the 7 chakras and the arch line. This mantra can

penetrate into anything and help avoid misfortune. It has the power to

break through any resistance or obstacles. It is sacred but it is not

secret. This meditation has been given by Yogi Bhajan to be successful

during these challenging times.

Yogi Bhajan has taught many meditations and mudras (hand positions)

using this mantra. On January 15, 1989 Yogi Bhajan taught the following

meditation. (*3)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROSPERITY MEDITATION

Sit in easy pose or a comfortable meditation posture with a straight

spine. Center yourself with several long deep breaths. Then place left

hand on left knee with thumb and forefinger touching. Place right hand

on heart, as in pledge of allegiance. With the eyes closed chant the

mantra with the tip of the tongue hitting the ridge of the palate. The

tongue must be stiff. The closed eyes must be fixed on the tip of the

nose to maintain concentration. Chant 11-15 minutes when you wake up and

11-15 minutes when you go to bed. You can also listen to the mantra on

auto reverse when you sleep.

(This mantra is available on CD from www.yogatech.com. You can listen to

the sound bite to get the pronunciation of the mantra.)

COMMENTS

Har (a) means God, the Krishna aspect. Without the "Har(a)'s, this is

called the Guru Gaitri Mantra. It eliminates blocks or curses from the

past and cleanses the aura so that it is easier to meditate and relate

to the Infinite. It is an ashtang mantra, which means it contains the 8

vibrations that balance the brain. This mantra was given by Guru Gobind

Singh who was the 10th and last Sikh Guru. ( 1666-1707)

The tongue hitting the palate ridge activates neurons in the brain,

which brings prosperity if done correctly. The closed eyes, fixed on

the tip of the nose, focuses our attention, centers us and stimulates

the pituitary gland.

Blessings and Light,

Brenda

Sat Nam to All,

Brenda, Elaine and Judy:

I am very new to this type of yoga and am also interested in doing a 40 day

meditation for prosperity and change. I also want to share with the group how

much I appreciate their sharing. Since I am not familiar with KY, it is going

to be a little more effort, reading and doing; I am up for it and appreciate all

of your energies.

Blessings

Brenda, Elaine, Betty, Joanne and others who wish to

embark on a 40-day Meditation together:

I am still here and still interested in this! And am

ready to start when you are!

I am a little reluctant to share this (so as not to be

a wet blanket since there is so much beautiful

enthusiasm here!!) but a few days ago I attempted to

start my 40-Day Meditation. I managed to miss a day a

mere 3 days into it! I felt (and still do) very

disappointed in myself, and wonder if I am capable of

going the full 40.

Tonight at my KY class my teacher was talking about

meditating... that it takes the same effort to "putter

around the house" for 30 minutes as to sit and

meditate. But that the latter will pay off so much

more. I am trying to hold this in mind.

The meditation I was attempting, I do not know the

full proper name of it... but it is not the same

prosperity mantra & meditation you plan to use. It

was suggested to me by my teacher to help with

breaking bad habits (which I am having a very hard

time with -- getting off my nicotine inhaler!). I

hope this is ok, if I hold myself accountable with you

anyway?

Sat Nam,

Judy, Brenda, Elaine, Joanne and others interested in committing to a 40-day

Meditation.

How about starting the meditation tomorrow, Thursday May 19, 2005? It will give

everyone time to become aware and to be prepared mentally, etc.

I can sympathize with your worrying about completing a 40-day meditation; I,

too, had it on my calendar to begin last Saturday, I did two days and that was

it. I believe there is power in numbers and commitment.

Thank you for your honest input.

Hi Betty, Judy, Brenda Elaine & Joanne,

Thursday 5-19 is fine with me. I'd still like a group consensus on the

mantra, time of day and length of time.

I, too, had a 40 meditation scheduled after the White Tantra in April

and just plumb didn't honor my

commitment to myself. It will be good to start now.

Sat Nam all,

I will also commit to this group and myself for 40 days. This will be

my first 40 day meditation. I am getting married this Saturday, so the

timing is perfect and hectic. Life isn't always cooperative of a new

practice, so this makes perfect sense to me.

I will practice the breaking habits/addictions mantra (sa ta na ma

with the thumbs at the temples)starting Thursday May 19 (that's

today!) When and how long are the rest of you practicing?

Love and Light ~

i am using a very similar meditation (for the same

purposes!), and have been doing it early in the

morning.. before i get distracted by daily activities!

the book i have advises, for your meditation, to use

it between 11 and 31 minutes each day.

congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

I started last night with the Subagh Kriya AND I got up and went to Sadhana.

I think this commitment thing is going to be good. Harnam Kaur (Joanne)
