Sat Nam,

I am also confused about which prosperity meditation we are doing, length of the

meditation and if it is to be done both morning and evening.

Thank you,

Joan

Sat Nam Brenda, Betty, Joan, Joanne, Elaine, Avneesh

(Michael) and any others others doing the 40-day

Meditation (there is a mouthful!!):

I am excited and will certainly be starting with you

tomorrow.

Personally, I think it is ok whatever kind of

meditation someone wants to do? I know that there was

a lot of interest in prosperity meditations, so that

is most likely what the bulk of this group will do. I

really want to get through my break bad

habits/addictions meditation though, and that is what

I plan to do... for the next 40 days!

I do not know firsthand about the Subagh Kriya for

Prosperity, only what I have heard about it. I tried

finding information on the internet. ONe website says

it can be found in a book called "Self Experience"

compiled and illustrated by Harijot Kaur Khalsa.

I think this might be directions about the Subagh

Kriya?? But I am not sure--

Sat nam girls,

How is everybody doing with the commitment?

Just to confirm I'm into it and doing Kirtan Kriya (SA TA NA MA), about

22 minutes a day, I was not too disciplined over the weekend with

respect to hours and amount of time, but I did manage to do it and did

not miss one day!!

I'm loving the kirtan kriya and got a fantastic cd from my teacher which

I use everytime I meditate

Let us know how are all of you doing, so as to encourage each other!!

Much love and blessings

What is the CD, Karma? I'd like to get something for Kirtan Kriya too.

I have had trouble getting started with HarHarHarHar -- mostly because

I'm doing a pretty long (for me!) sadhana in the morning and I don't do

as well in my discipline for evening sadhana.

BTW, I'm a boy.... :-)

Sat Nam!

I have also been practicing the Kirtan Kriya since we

began this group meditation challenge! What is the

name of the CD, if I may ask? I'd be really

interested in having music with the Sa Ta Na Ma mantra

but don't know where to begin looking... there are so

many CDs around and I am hesitant to pick at random.

I've been doing the meditation for 31 minutes daily,

though the time of day does vary. I feel better (more

accomplished!) if I can do it upon waking, but this is

not always possible.

Already it has been helpful with my bad habits. The

one in particular I am most hoping to escape (quitting

my nicotine inhaler!) is easing up already. It is not

broken, but instead of using my inhaler 6x a day (as I

was about 2 weeks ago) I am using it only every other

day or so now.

This meditation brings up some painful thoughts for

me. Not only the bad habit I am hoping to break, but

so many others that I posess... of course I want to

get rid of those as well! It can be draining when

they flood your mind that way. Hopefully this is a

step towards clearing them from my life as well....!

I would love to hear how everyone else is doing, and

what effects if any you have noticed since beginning

your 40-Day Meditations!

Sat Nam,

I am also doing the Kirtan Kriya (7 min). (I'm a newbie KY practitioner) and

took my first KY class in a classroom setting just this past weekend for over an

hour.... lots of breathing... lots of work! A Gong meditation followed. What

an experience! I am hooked!! Sadhana every day .... I hope!

Blessings,

Betty

Sat Nam Judy, everyone!

Well, It turns out that a wedding weekend was too difficult for me to

be disciplined...(my wedding was Saturday) I missed 3 days (Fri, Sat,

Sun) but have been practicing Sa Ta Na Ma (thumbs at temples) for 11

minutes a day since then. I don't have any more big distracting events

planned for a while!

I received my spiritual name this week as well: Amar Dev Kaur

So thank you for your hard work while I was taking vows and drinking

champagne!

Love~

Amar Dev (Lori)

I quit smoking with the patch and started meditating. I would have really

bad nightmares about smoking and realized their were areas in my life I was

needing to clean up and used smoking to keep me stagnated! Sat Nam Elaine

Hello

I had one question and a possible suggestion for you.. Are you wearing

the Patch

over night? If so remove it before bed and your night mares should end.

The transdermal nicotine can cause nightmares and even night terrors.

If you are removing it, maybe try taking it off a couple of hours before

you retire.

I too have had that problem and although things will come up due to the

kundalini

there is no need to rush yourself or feel nightmarish doing it.

Sat Nam Amar Dev, and everyone,

Congratulations on your wedding vows, many blessings to you. I, too, received

my spiritual name, Padmani, meaning jewel of the guru. What is the meaning of

your spiritual name, if you don't mind sharing?

Blessings,

Padmani

Sat Nam, Padmani (that is beautiful!)

Amar (immortal) Dev (God) or: undying, beyond time.

I was so excited to receive the name. I wondered if maybe I was caught

up in a spiritual materialism due to attachment. As if a name made me

more important... But now I feel that it has helped deepen my

commitment and respect to all Gurus (who is everyone :) ) and myself.

Thank you for asking!

Love and Light~
