Guest guest
Sat Nam! I've been doing the alternate nostril breathing for the past week, 5 minutes each morning, and I notice that I have a much more difficult time inhaling and evening exhaling through my right nostril. It may be unrelated, but I've also noticed that my right eye is often more dilated than my left and my hearing is better in my left ear than my right. Any suggestions for equalizing this? Does it "mean" anything? Thanks! Carol p.s. is anyone else doing the triple mantra right now? i started 40 days on the full moon. Mail Stay connected, organized, and protected. Guest guest
Sat Nam, If your problem is an actual physical difference such as a deviated septum, it might be difficult to adjust this. However if it is just a matter of a slowness in the cycling between the two sides, right and left, then there may be a solution. With your left nostril closed off by the left thumb, take the right hand and make it into a fist. Put the fist in the left armpit at the region of the seventh rib (counting from the bottom)and press it closely and firmly with the left arm. It should not take long for the breath cycle to switch from the left side to the right side. Godd luck Blessings Karta Purkh S Kundaliniyoga, C <carmill00> wrote: > Sat Nam! Guest guest
sat nam. you may have a deviated septum (the bone that divides the two nostrils). this makes the flow of air through each of the nostrils uneven and can affect the ear. you can get this condition either by nose trauma or simply by birth. it is very common: around 80% of people have it in some form. you should check with your doctor. a deviated septum can lead to nasal clogging. i take nasal drops to clear the nostril. it makes alternate nostril breathing much easier. mihai
