Is it detrimental to combine Kundalini Yoga techniques with those of

other systems such as Kriya Yoga as taught by Paramahansa Yogananda or

other Hatha Yoga?

No, in fact in order to keep the teachings pure...

from the time we tune in "Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo" then

do warm ups, then a Kriya, relaxation (shavasana) then

breath work,then mantra & meditation...sunshine song,

then to close 3-5 long Sat Nam...(this is a full set

in its proper order)

is all Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan

if you wanted to practice other forms of yoga along

with your Kundalini, that is fine...do it before or

after your Kundalini Yoga....

I hope this helps...(:

Sat Nam

Doing KY and other disciplines is not harmful. The "danger" would be

in mixing them together. By that I mean replacing KY yoga exercises

within a kriya with Hatha Yoga postures say. Or chanting a Hindi

mantra with a mudra given by Kundalin Yoga. Yogi Bhajan told us time

and again not to change or dilute the teachings of Kundalini Yoga. If

you wish to do a Kundalini Yoga kriya and then do a Bhuddist

meditation, I see no real harm. If you wish to practice other

practices (!) go ahead but do not dilute either one. Have respect for

the teachers and their teachings.

Sat Nam and God Bless
