Guest guest
Sat Nam, Jeff: Welcome aboard. I am also 42 years old and joined KY in March '05 on-line. I've been using the free on-line training lessons, jumping in and committing to a 40 day meditation with some people in the KY group on-line because the nearest classes would be three hours away from me in Pittsburgh. I've purchased some lovely meditative music & chant CD's and look forward to purchasing some books and DVD's. I'm concerned right now with getting the 40 days in a row in, as I've not successfully done this yet. I'm on my way now that I'm accountable to the group. I too, think your questions are good ones and look forward to the group's responses. Often times, one person asks a question and the responses help many people. I have previously expressed to the group that I can get in touch with my higher power during meditation and have had esoteric experiences, but have difficulty incorporating or feeling this greatness throughout my day and this confused and frustrated me. I often over-react to stress and get overwhelmed or feel timid more often than what I would prefer. Sat Sangeet Kaur explained it best to me by saying that although during meditation, we can experience vast states of consciousness, it doesn't mean that we embody that consciousness yet. It may take one hour ...or one lifetime... to fully integrate an experience of new consciousness into our everyday life. I have explored different healing modalities for the past 12 years and am curious where this will take me. Best wishes to you on your journey. Blessings, Brenda
