Sat Nam, all,

I would appreciate some advice or comments. I have had a difficult few

months at work (I'm a special ed teacher at a high school). I've felt

like I might be "burning out" and not giving the job very much attention

lately, and also getting pretty irritated with my students. I went to a

counselor the other day with my wife. She has been concerned because

although I'm usually pretty mellow, I can get quite angry -- I sometimes

complain that the house is a mess, the kids have been misbehaving, etc.

I agree that I can be pretty unpleasant at these times.

I've been doing kundalini yoga for about 7 years, and really working on

the navel for the past year -- several 40 day meditations, prosperity

meditations, stretch pose and sat kriya, etc. etc. I've worked pretty

hard at yoga.

Anyway, the counselor really shocked me when she suggested I try a

medication for my anger. She added that many people feel that enables

their true self to emerge, and also that she noted some "heaviness"

about my character and suggested that other people might be suffering

from this as well.

I know it's hard to picture this while you don't know me, and I am

pretty sure that the heaviness doesn't make me a total drag to be

around. Nevertheless, I can't help but feel that there is something

difficult about me that gets in the way of my relationships.

Any comments?

Sat Nam Avneesh,

Often when I feel heaviness it is because I have taken

my life too seriously. I need to "lighten up." Of

course

we all have fluctuations. Suddenly I find the people

I

have been working with have lost their sparkle, and

become burdensome, the job I have loved becomes sour.

What has changed? The energy. My perspective.

It is good to be able to step back, take a small

vacation,

to spend sometime alone. Sitali breath 26 times in

the morning and evening, wonderful for releasing inner

anger. To reclaim your power which I feel you may

have

lost, Pump that tummy with Har's.....5 minutes, 10

minutes, work it and feel your life force rushing back

in.

Laughing, lay on your back, and start laughing, 3

minutes.

Bring lightness in your being. You have the power to

do

anything you want. Small actions have big impacts....

change something small in your life and see the

repercussions.

Be light!

Linda
