Guest guest
hello all, This is my first mail to group. I started practicising yoga and meditation about two months ago. I learned this chakra meditation in New delhi, in a workshop conducted by some disciple of famous Baba Sivanand. in this excercise i had to concentrate on the various chakras starting from the bottom to top, and illuminate(activate) each chakra. **Moderators Note - Assuming this is Kundalini yoga, it is not Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. But we have many yogins here with decades of experience with Kundalini, and with words of advice within the context of 3HO Kundalini yoga. I anticipate our members responses. About ten days ago during my evening prayer suddenly an energy stream hit the top of my head and i had to hold my head with hands out of fear. same thing repeated next morning. i got scared and didnot do anything for next week. everything is normal with me except that with slightest concentration or meditation or prayer a kind of heat energy starts developing in my body. it usally starts at the base of spine and is felt in the brain or pushes on the top of head.for most of the time it is bearable but i usally get scared and stop what i am doing. I had not resumed the exercises after the incident(10 days). everything appears normal except this occasional heat energy. I had a request for all people with experience to tell me what is going on inside me and what should i do. Waiting for reply, Thanks and regards, Kamal deep singh. Guest guest
Dear Kamal Deep, Sat Nam >I learned this chakra meditation in New delhi, in a workshop conducted by >some disciple of famous Baba Sivanand. in this excercise i had to >concentrate on the various chakras starting from the bottom to top, and >illuminate(activate) each chakra. * Well it worked to activate your Kundalini, but you did not learn how to incorporate the energy in your body, i.e. feel the energy and let in descend, not just ascend. This is what you are supposed to learn in yoga before you do any of these ascending chakras meditations. > About ten days ago during my evening prayer suddenly an energy stream hit > the top of my head and i had to hold my head with hands out of fear. same > thing repeated next morning. i got scared and didnot do anything for next > week. * This is the kundalini rising. Now you must learn how to integrate this energy in your body. Do not do this exercise anymore until you can hold your newly acquired energy in your body. Do alternate nostril breathing, breathing deep into the belly. Concentrate on lowering the energy. Do navel sets and concentrate on the navel pulse and the belly. See the free on line lesson on the navel center and do it every day. Then sit and feel the energy go into the Earth. Connect your body with the earth. Feel your body and the earth are one. Walk around alot and do not sit so much. >everything is normal with me except that with slightest concentration or meditation or prayer a kind of heat energy starts developing in my body. it usally starts at the base of spine and is felt in the brain or pushes on the top of head * This is kundalini activation. ..for most of the time it is bearable * Bearable is not acceptable. You need to feel very comfortable in your body. but i usally get scared and stop what i am doing. * You should stop. Start doing yoga. Feel your legs, feet, and lower chakras. Be present to your feelings and sensations in your body. *Your consciousness has shifted, so be aware of the gifts of awareness that you are experiencing. Be grateful for the awakening process and do your best to stay awake and present and DO NOT try to escape of avoid what is happening. You will be fine. Do the above and follow your intuition. You will be guided. Sat Nam, Gururattana
