Guest guest
Sat Naam! First hello to everyone! I am coming after a very long time. Was very busy with finishing my last year of school (for now) :+) I have a very mild combination of schizophrenia and depression. It was under control for five years but recently it came back to haunt me. I am taking the regular prescribed drugs by my psychiatrist. However, this causes me to be at dis-ease (disease) I would like to be under complete control so that I don't have to depend on drugs. I would appreciate any advise you could provide me. Thanks for your time. God Bless You, Roopinder Toronto, Canada
Guest guest
Dear Roopinder: Sat Nam! There's a kriya in Infinity and Me by Harijot Kaur to get to the root of sub-conscious depression. It's a set to do daily for one week and requires some journaling. I would suggest that for a start. Also Gurudev Singh gave us a meditation to get the whole class out of a depressed mood: He asked us to put the forearms over each other (right over left) palms facing down at shoulder level for 5 minutes. As far as schizophrenia is concerned I don't have any experience. But I have experience with fear. Could it be that schizophrenia is a form of fear in your experience? Awtar S. Guest guest
--- Sat nam, Roopinder, Here is a link to a site where you can get much information about psychiatric drugs and how to get off them. http://www.peterbreggin.com If you want more info after you see this site, e-mail me off list, and I can provide you with more links. Also, you didn't say if you are currently practicing Kundalini Yoga, but I'm sure that would be helpful.
