Guest guest
Dear Harsha, Thanks. Yogi Bhajan's output was so voluminous over35 years that the core or hub of his teachings, which actually threads itself throughout is often overlooked, like a pearl neckalace where you see the pearls but not the thread that holds them together. All I've tried to do is to bring the vastness of his teachings back to their ever-present perspective. This also helps with the development of one's practice (Sadhana). Ramana Maharshi has said that the mind will go towards where you aim it. (Modern courses in self image psychology teach the same thing.) When the purpose of the practice (sadhana) (which in KY generates pranic pressure and heat) is rightfully understood, the whole process of distillation of impurities (Aradhana) accelerates towards crystallization (pradupati) - non-objective awareness. Non-objective awareness is a radical change in one's perception of identity, where one experiences one's Self as single pervasive being, untouched and unaffected by changing images, no longer gripped by attention binding ones sense of identity to a limited view. The Crystallization (pradupati) Yogi Bhajan speaks of is an inward transformation much like a diamond that seems to change color in relation to images it is passed before, but in itself remains single dense and unchanged. One experiences Reality as the practical outcome of Sadhana. The mind's power of attention is disengaged by the force of the awakening Self, and you experience your Self as pervasive presence, some might call it a kind of a holographic awareness, where the subject to object seeing mechanism is dropped from use, near and far loose meaning and everything appears in you without distinction or separation, you, the self luminous screen of Self abiding Consciousness. This may seem like something extraordinary, but it's really more like the analogy of a bottle of water that is closed at the top, floating in the middle of the ocean. If an inward pressure in brought to bear in the water inside the bottle, heat is generated and the cork comes out and what is inside and what was outside are now discovered to have always been one and the same. This experience of pradupati is the advent of what is called "sunia" in the Sikh vernacular, "Sravana" in Vedanta, and in Christianity the translation is "hearing." Hearing leads to remembrance, like coming out of a progressive amnesia; and remembrance to perfect abiding. It's often said in the scriptures of all religions that "ripe souls" or the "pure in heart" will easily hear this Truth. Kundalini Yoga is a means through which the process or ripening or distilling impurities can be and is accelerated for those who pursue the Sadhana ardently. A relentless process sets in which is inexorable in its outcome to the point where the slightest mention of the Truth that who we are is no different from the Universal Consciousness, results in a sudden inward recollection, and we abide in a state of non-objective awareness, where "nothing is separate and we cling to nothing." (Third Zen Patriarch) -- "When the "I" and Infinity create impact, you will become totally divine. Otherwise there is a duality which keeps you away from Reality, and the pain is humongous." Yogi Bhajan. "Always abide in the Non-Dual." Perfect! Love to all Harsha
