Guest guest
Sat Nam Mark! I am glad you are getting it "checked out" medically, I believe that's important to rule out any physical condition. There are many changes you can make in your practice to alleviate the pain. Remember to always send love and acceptance to any area of your body that seems to be crying out. Love is our highest form of Prana! You could sit on a chair to practice, bolster your knee until it feels comfortable, or do more kriyas that involve standing. On an emotional level knees represent ego and pride, an inability to bend, inflexibility, and fear. Kundalini Yoga brings up our "stuff" very quickly to look at, not judge, and through just noticing it, letting go. Are you practicing with a teacher or alone? After each kriya are you giving yourself time to feel what's going on inside (or outside)? Are you sending love and acceptance to whatever is coming up? Perhaps siiting in a chair, practice the " I AM" Meditation and then sit with what is coming up for you. Ayurvedically using turmeric, applying medicated abhyanga oil with bala, ashwagandha, neem and juniper berry may be helpful. Drink lots of pure water. What is your diet like? Watermelon, grapefruit and pineapple might also bring some relief. Blessings in Health! Guru Ravi
