Guest guest
Sat Nam! I just met someone who has brain damage as a result of a car accident he had in 1980. His right leg is thinner than his left as a result. It seems to have affected him like a stroke. His speach is affected yet coherent. He has a sort of a slur and speaks very quietly, but after a while I started understanding him with less effort. Is there information anyone knows about what kundalini kriyas can be helpful in such a case? Thanks and blessings, Awtar S. Guest guest
Dear Awtar Singh, I met a man in Boston who had a metal plate in his brain from wounds from the Vietnam combat. He swore that KY revitalized his brain. There is a lot of unused brain that can be activated. I had a student years ago who said she felt unbalanced for 10 years after a car accident. After 2 KY classes she felt balanced again. It is amazing how the body can heal and realign itself if it is cared for in the right way. He needs KY that balance the brain, like arm exercises, breathing and spinal flexes. Of course, start simple. Spinal series with leg stretches to open the hips would be a place to start. Guest guest
I too would like to know what someone can do for a person suffering from TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). I have a son who had an accident 13 years ago and also has speech, coordination, attention problems as well as seizures from his accident. His is a person who had his own sucessful business at age 23 and now at age 37 he is totally unable to function in the business world. Can Kundalini help? I have searched to no avail looking for that answer. If anyone can give a possible solution I'm sure there are others out there who could benefit. Bless you, Swami Kaur just met someone who has brain damage as a result of a car accident..... _____________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! Guest guest
Dear Swami Kaur, Yes, KY works. The trick is that he has to do it. People who have dysfunctions often don't have the capacity to actually discipline themselves to do a regular practice. You will probably have to do it with him, so that he actually does it. Start simple with something that he is willing to do. But do something every day or as often as you can. Sat nam, Gururattana
Guest guest
Awtar Singh ji, I have a very dear buddy who overcame epilepsy due to car accident related head trauma. He had been epileptic for a good many years before he met Yogi Bhajan in the early '70's. Yogiji prescribed doing Long Sat Nams for 31 minutes a day for 40 days. In one year he was able to give up the anti-seizure medicine and hasn't had a seizure in over 30 years. Guest guest
Yoga meditation music Yoga meditation Eastern philosophy Kundalini yoga Yogi bhajan Sat Nam! Could any one help me please if there is a special meditation that might be helpful in the case of fast heart beats(palpitations). I've had all the physical checkups and they were fine but my physician says the reason for these quick heart beats might be that the adrenalin glands are active, sort of secreting adrenalin more than average.. I don't like to use chemicals such as beta blockers which I used two years ago, but I feel I don't need them anymore after starting yoga.
