Dear everyone:

We are receiving many posts about diseases. The questions are around

whether Kundalini Yoga helps heal particular diseases. There is another

aspect to KY much more subtle and much more powerful than the physical

healing of the disease so whether you feel physical improvements or not or

whether you judge them slow... please do not stop practicing KY as there

is more to it!

Here's how! When you say you have MS or fibro or what have you, you are

speaking from the perspective of your personality. Your soul does not have

any disease! When you do KY you get closer and closer to your soul. So

slowly learn to speak from your soul's perspective and not your

personsality. So you don't have MS, instead your personality does. Well

what lead it to it?

KY helps you get out of the jail of your personality. That's the best way

that it helps any one, from diseases to addictions.

Deepak talks in his book: "How to know God!" about people with multiple

personality disorder. Cases have been documented where each personality of

such an individual may have a different disease, diseases we take as

incurable, like diabetes, like fibro, etc The funny thing is each time the

personality shifts, the disease pattern shifts as well and there are no

traces of the disease of the other personalities afflicting that

individual. How is that possible? You don't have a disease, the disease

has you because of your personality.

How to get out of it? There is the endocrinologist approach, but that only

cures the body, it does not affect your relationship to your personality

unless you pay close attention to how the cure affects your relationship

to yourself and you learn from it. If the personality is left unchecked,

the disease will be welcome back!

Arnold Mindell, jungian therapist, suggests the following approach. If you

have a chance to act it out with somebody else try it, otherwise do the

equivalent inner work. Have someone act as your disease. Tell them in

detail how your disease affects you, how it makes you feel physically and

emotionally. They need to let you be in control. If you say STOP, they

need to respond immediately. Otherwise have them "wrestle" with you the

way the disease feels to you. And your job is to fight back not in

dismissing it, but in accepting the wrestling match and in going through

it until you feel you have conquered the oppressive feelings or whatever

it is you feel from the disease, until you are no longer feeling like a

powerless victim. Similarly one can conquer their fears, or their

relationship issues with anyone, but they need to do this work with

someone they don't have the problem with!

Doing the inner work requires taking awareness of the inner wrestling

match between you and the disease. In the beginning it may feel like there

is no wrestling match at all, you are totally at the disease's mercy. Now

look again. Do you really want this disease to control you, to be the end

of you, or are you going to react? Are you going to remain in victim mode,

or are you going to look for a way to no longer be a victim? Find a way to

accept the inner wrestling match and go for it, fight it out!

You don't have to do this work alone. Find someone who has experience with

this and have them help you!

Blessings!
