Guest guest
What a wonderful quote. As a refugee from Katrina, stranded in the middle of Nebraska, you can't imagine how inspiring that quote is. Sat Nam Ji! Wahe Guru! All those affected directly by Katrina are in our hearts and prayers. I have started the 8 cycle Mudra for all those affected in this crisis. I invite anyone that feels so called to join me. The Mudra Meditation creates happiness, destroys pain and reduces fear. You are in my heart. Guru Ravi
Guest guest
Elaine, it's really a matter of the language used. Yogi Bhajan's Path number is Ten. When you speak from the Tenth Body there is an "All or Nothing" quality to it. Stand and Deliver! For many this is not the language that resonates. Many of us need to be spoken to (check your Soul number) in a more nurturing, artsy-craftsy, furry kind of way. Sometimes even support is not enough, and encouragement is actually what connects (ask me how I know). Regardless, at some point in our cycle, eventually his words would ring home. The cool thing about Yogiji is that his words are one thing, but if you could have had one chance to be in the same venue/room with him you'd have found that his Pranic body addressed you wherever you needed. It was his presence and it was as though he were a temple. I often sort of nodded off during his talks (and this is funny because I was often running the sound board! ). The fact is his NAAD (sound current) often put me and many others into another state (something about Alpha, Beta, Theta waves) that may have looked like sleep. People who missed the event would ask "what did he say?" The answer was never one that could be summed up into something concise or conclusive. Yogiji would say "Teaching is Being". And, of course, the video tapes don't capture the experience unless you were there and watching the video can remind one of the feeling and energy of that time and place. Aside from the above there is a whole 'nuther perspective on this language that has a bearing on the relationship between our own Mind and our own Body. In Yoga we talk about getting in touch with our body and getting the frequency of the mind to match the frequency of the body. Well, what if the body's patterns are so tweaked from stresses and a lifetime of out of balance actions and behavior? That may not be something some folks can deal with and sometimes we have to work around it. In such cases we initially have to vibrate the Impersonal aspects of the universal and not the Personal. We have to vibrate our Mind from the Cosmic and from there the Body begins to realign and move beyond the emotional and commotional to the devotional. By relating to the Impersonal is our best chance to be our most Personal. Do we cater to the limitations of our mind or do we train the mind serve our Soul ? Guest guest
Dear Ravi, I went to the Tantric Numerology site and it did describe me to a tea. I learned I do get overwhelmed and my lesson is to meditate to return to silence. I also learned that I am a teacher and I always teach by speaking from my heart or I will never know true peace. I can teach by my example. I am too scared too really teach. A problem and a fear to be dropped. Thanks for writing to me, your right you did touch a nerve and it was good for me because as always the silence and feel of my God Self leads me home. I just see so many angry people in the world and sometimes I just can't control my emotions, I want to get angry back. How can I heal my need for revenge? I pray to God to help me with this.
