Hi,

I'm not new to reading the posts but have not introduced myself until now. I'm

from Salt Lake City, Utah and I have been practicing Kundalini Yoga for about

two years. I am currently looking for a teacher in Salt Lake City and have

tried the Yogatech directory but my email to the only teacher listed has been

returned. Any information on teachers in SLC would be appreciated.

Did you try the phone number, which should also be listed? What response did

you get to your email - if you still have it, please copy the message to me

off-list.

Exact consecutive numbers are not important. The only important effect

of not doing it on the 27th day is that you didn't do it! No sweat.

Just do it, as our corporate fathers at Nike say. The rewards of

Kundalini Yoga are in the process, not in the end of the process.

There is in fact no end to it. Even someone who has abandoned KY

practice completely takes the teachings with them into that

non-practice. I have a very good friend who lived in a 3HO ashram 20

years ago and though he doesn't sadhana he comes by for our Full Moon

Meditations because he "knows". As for the 40 day thing, you can

continue the count or you can start over again, no problem either way.

Benefits are the point not the marks on the calendar.

Otto,

If you pick it back up within 72 hours you should still be in the

energy (a little known grace period. Don't misuse this info).

Keep up!

Dear otto and others interested in this:

Karta Purkh is right: don't get bogged down by numbers of consecutive days

as everything is a process. On the other end then I understand anyone

asking: well why do they say to do it for 40 consecutive days? And that's

important too! When you do something for a number of days in a row you

slowly change your habit and master a different habit hopefully healthier.

Missing a day in a sequence of consecutive days will have an effect on how

soon your habits will start changing. The reason why you missed a day has

an effect too. For instance: Did you fall back on old habits? There are so

many variables into this equation... but since everything is a process,

you just move on, what strength you got so far from doing the same kriya

is still with you if you choose to tune in to it and not feel guilty for

missing a day or two... and continue and do the yoga that you need in

order to support you right here and now!

Sat Nam everyone,

Otto,

Its funny, I was just thinking about the kriya To Master your Domain when I

was on the bus today. That kriya ROCKS! I was actually thinking about

starting up with it again, but I have to finish up what I already started to

do. Stay with it, you won't regret doing it.

PEACE LOVE & ALL LIGHT

Karta Purkh ,

I thought you were talking about me and my practise for a

minute there. Your right once you've tasted bliss there is no going

back ...you may postpone it but the memory of who you really are and

why you are here will come back and haunt you until you make peace

with yourSelf.

Not a day goes by that I'm not humming a Beatle tune or

something

with all of the vocals gone and Ek-ong-kar or Ad garay namey...going

through my mind! My life has become centered around finding my

way...and that takes many paths and places!

I was talking to Gururattana the other day about everyone

who "Freaked Out" long ago and left 3HO....those days are gone we

work together now because that is the way it should be....once Guru

Nanak has whispered in your ear during a KY class your hooked!

I've been away for a while ...so I'm a bit rusty but I've been

teaching the yoga and I'm never surprized anymore when I look into

someones eyes after their 1st KY class...and I see the Guru looking

out!

Now I'm getting ready to go to the Teachers Workshop in Austin

Texas next month...it should be fantastic and I look forward to

meeting Gururattana who will be leading the workshop.
