Guest guest
Sat Nam, I occasionally get a doozy of a headache, often in conjunction with my menstrual cycle and sometimes with slight nausea. Normally I will take a bunch of aspirin, drink lots of water and put ice packs on the back of my neck. Even so, they usually last all day and are almost paralyzing. This morning I awoke with such a headache and for some reason was compelled to breath of fire which I almost never do. I did several rounds of about two minutes each with a short break in between. At first my head throbbed with every pump of my navel. By about the third round the throbbing stopped and I started to feel a lot of heat, a softening and then subsiding of the pain. It is now several hours later and my headache has not returned nor have I taken aspirin or anything else. I wonder if my headaches are due to poorly oxygenated blood and that is why the breath of fire worked? I had assumed that they were hormonal but maybe not. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I also noticed while doing breath of fire that as the heat built up the muscles in my neck relaxed. I had never before realized the value of this techniique but now I am SOLD! Wahe Guru!
