Guest guest
Hi Alima, Today's conscious thoughts become tomorrow's subconscious. We make our habits and then our habits make us. Through our yoga/meditation practice we overcome the Inertia. That's what Yoga is about on a daily basis for me. I want today to be new and free of yesterday's motions or Ama (the residue of incomplete digestion in both a literal and figurative sense). I want to be back at ZERO. You ever seen "Groundhog Day"? ( http://tinyurl.com/aq7wj ) Rent that movie! It says it all. In my practice I want to get to where I am purely in this now and am in my heart and not coming from my Adrenals, and my fear, and my strifes and strivings. I aim to cultivate daily the part of me that is free of the "Flight or Fight" blood chemistry, and instead consciously choose to relate to my capacity to relax, refresh, rejuvenate myself by bathing my Adrenals/Kidneys with prana. This is a big step to rejuvenating me and my heart. This Prana comes from a deeper and more vital breathing. When there is tightness in the diaphragm, there is tightness in the flow of feelings. When there are feelings or hurts that not being related in an intimate way to [another], then this blocks Prana. When we go forward still holding tension in our emotions we tend to use our adrenals to get by. To operate from a place of tension in the world is to hold a subconscious posture of defensiveness or animosity which is far from being childlike and innocent. Check the Archives and do searches for kidney. A look at your numerology may also give you some guidance. I like doing 5 minutes of Triangle Pose and then 11 minutes of the Long Form of the Adi Mantra as a way of bringing my animal nature to a purring place before I do a full set or just as a quickie by itself. Wheel Pose is absolutely phenomenal for adrenal/kidney burnout. It really bathes that system with Prana. I do it as part of the Kriya for Pelvic Balance"" which is in Sexuality & Spirituality by Gururattan - go/start.cgi/store/shop.html?showprod=P01003 and also in Kundalini Yoga by Shakta Kaur go/start.cgi/store/shop.html?showprod=P18001 Try also the Meditation for the Lower Triangle in Sadhana Guidelines go/start.cgi/store/shop.html?showprod=P08001 Plenty of yoga postures, Kriyas and sets help with this situation but I can't stress too strongly the importance of doing the emotional work. Your Acupuncturist/Herbalist will concur as each meridian has its own corresponding set of emotions, thought forms and psychology AND you'll find that there are no hard lines of categorization. You may see that your immunity is not inbalanced (sense of self), and that this will be more of the issue since without a strong sense of self we are inclined to let ourselves get over extended, sell ourselves short and lose our sense of boundary. We begin to BE our work and forget who we really are. The more we do from a state of imbalance (fear and anger particularly) the more karma we incur. You want to be in Dharma. Consider doing the set for "Immunity, Heart and Circulation" in Gururattan's book. Go deep daily and do it every day. You have to get at the root of the situation, not just the symptom. You might also try 3 days of the Watermelon Diet. Eat nothing but watermelon and a lot of it for 3 days. You'll have an experience worth writing home about. Is any of this resonating? If not, listen to your body.
