Guest guest
Ong is the creative energy of the total cosmos and consciousness of the creator as experienced in this creation, it has the connotation of energy and activity, it creates involvement without attachment, it generates shakti, the generative force of life, Note that the sound is not Om, that sound is for withdrawal and relaxation. humbly dev OM? Greetings all, I know that I read somewhere why Yogi Bhajan didn't recommend the "OM" sound as part of yoga or meditation. He advised, "ONG" instead. But so many other yoga paths and meditation traditions do use "OM." Seems to me like he used really strong language advising against "OM." Anybody know why? I take a variety of yoga classes, but my own daily morning practice is Kundalini. One very powerful meditation (a japa series using "Ahhhhh" and "Ommmmm" as the primary chants) sounds interesting as a nightly meditation to bring about prosperity and abundance, then I remembered, oops, no "Ommm." Anybody got any ideas? Thanks, Gurugiana
