Guest guest
Sat Naam! My name is Yolanda Aguirre and I have been practicing Kundalini for about 18 months. My yoga studio used to offer it, but does not longer and I have been practicing on my own, through books and videos. Sat Naam to my teachers Elle D'Orado and Laura. Your classes have been a blessing in my life. I am healing from adrenal exhaustion caused by chronic stress and mercury and lead toxicity. I am currently doing chelation therapy with DMSA to detox. I have been doing an adrenal set that helped get my cortisol levels back to normal. I have trouble deciding what to do next, which is a character trait. The issues I am facing is that my energy and stamina are still low, I have gained 40 pounds in weight, I am still detoxing and spiritually it feels that my heart chakra is not clean. I am considering a set to raise energy, a set to support detox, a set to lose weight and increase metabolism (the last two DVDs by Ravi Sigh and Anna Brett) or a set for opening the heart chakra . I have three questions. I imagine that it is better to chose one set and do it for 40 days or more than to alternate the sets. Is that true? Are there ways to choose which set is best to choose at this point? My inner guidance waivers between them. I tried to use kinesiology to answer the question and got a somewhat waivering answer, with a slight preference for the losing weight set. Finally, can any of you recomend a good set to increase my energy? Thanks for this group. I have been looking at several of the discussions and learned a lot. It is a wonderful resource. Sat Naam to all! Yolanda
Guest guest
Sat Naam Yolanda! It is good to hear from you! It has been one year since I left Seattle. I miss it so much! I'm sorry to learn that Samadhi no longer has Kundalini classes. What happened?! It sounds like you have a lot you want to work on, like all of us If I were in your situation, I would decide if embarking on a 40-day would put too much stress or pressure on myself. Since stress is what you are addressing, this would be counterproductive!! If that is the case, just practice what your intuition is telling you to do each day. If you feel less stressed by sticking to one thing at a time, rather than making a new decision each day, start the 40-day sadhana. Peace, love & light to you. Take care, ji! Guest guest
Hi, I know that I have a metabolism problem and all the hormone stuff because I am 46. I got one of those body heat suits at Payless then I get on my stationary bike, turn on the TV or Music and I have the kind that works your arms as well. Then I close my eyes. Its really important for me to do that. Then, I bike like mad till I have sweated all over. But when it comes to yoga I find I am doing a lot more meditation and less actual exercise. Probably because that is what I need. Hope this helps.
