Guest guest
Dear Fellow Yogis, I have been very focused and sincere in my yoga practice, especially since taking Teacher Training (I finished in May). There was a point at which I thought that all I had to do was maintain a strong sadhana and all would fall into place. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. I can't seem to solve my work problems. I've been doing lots of Sat Kriya (day 39 of 22 mins/day; day 120+ of 11 mins/day), and Kirtan Kriya and Sodarshan Chakra Kriya -- feeling very positive about my moods and general interactions with people, yet my boss at the school I teach at has written me up *again* for not following the proper paperwork procedure. I am in despair about this job and my prospects for ever finding something that will pay me well and which I can do to people's general satisfaction. Does anybody have any insight or suggestions? I'm actually talking to a job coach and trying hard to find a new line of work (teaching at a university, hopefully), but this public high school is paying me pretty well and I need the money to keep sending my kids to the Waldorf school we all love. What to do? Nervous in New Hampshire (Avneesh Singh) >
Guest guest
Dear Avneesh Singh: So your practice is really working. Yoga does not make your life smoother, it points you to where your life is not smooth and it gives you the strength, the will and the creativity to overcome the difficulties. Now all you need is clarity as to what your truth is. You have reached a place in your life where you can no longer Just do the work to satisfy others. You have to serve from the place of who you are. If you could create the kind of work that you want to do, that you have always dreamed but never dared doing. What would it look like? It's time to be you! No counselor can help you find a job now. The best help they can provide is to help you find your dream. It's time to support you. As for the money. don't let it drive you. Money struggles are part of the road map to guide you closer to you. It is about trusting that you are all that you need to be! You don't need to be something, someone else than you! If you want more help please send me your birth date. Blessings, Awtar Singh Rochester, NY

Do the paperwork best you can and let it go. Doing yoga doesn't mean all will go right with the world. Yogi Bhajin always talked about riding the wave of life. Up and down if you remained centered in the current your lifeforce stays strong. It sounds like you have a good thing going for you, a job coach, yoga, kids in Waldorf, hey, I'm a poor mom with a 5 year old kid and 46. I would love to have what you have, well, I think I would. I do know that yoga is a sustaining force when my kid is sick or I can't pay the bills, or I am overwhelmed, I can choose to direct consciousness in any manner and that is my power at any time. So do the best you can and let the rest go! If only I could follow my own advice, ha! ha! Keep up. Elaine _______________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
