Guest guest
http://www.church-mouse.com/Ragi-Sat-Nam_Japji-Sahib.mp3 Sat Nam Marie, Lots on this in the Archives. Let me say, though, that is a form of Yoga in the sense that it brings you to a place of union and wholeness. Chanting/reading Japji before I Tune In with Adi Mantra and then do my physical yoga is a much deeper experience than doing my practice the standard way. Guest guest
Jap-ji Sahib is the first prayer of the Sikhs. It begins the Sikh scriptures, the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. The Mul Mantra is the very first verse of Jap-ji Sahib. It has been said that all of the rest of Jap-ji Sahib (and the Siri Guru Granth Sahib) is simply an explanation of that first verse. So, mastering the Mul Mantra is important for those who profess to be a Sikh (or student of the truth). Repetition (108X) of the Mul Mantra is almost as good as reading the entire prayer which requires a bit more study. Jap-ji Sahib was first recited by Guru Nanak after emerging from a three day enlightenment experience. It explains the structure of the universe and man's place in it. Peace Lagoon contains a very accessible translation.
