Guest guest
Sat Nam! Does anyone know a good recipe for prasad? You know the sweet that you get after sadhana? Its been many year since I made any and I wanted to start again. So dig deep into all of those recipes and find me a good one! At the Teachers Training in Austin ..I made yogi tea for the group but the next time I want to have prasad! Thank you, Siri Chand Singh
Guest guest
Hey, Siri Chand, Sat Nam. 1 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 cup ghee (clarified butter) 1 cup Honey 4 cups water Above is a recipe that's basic and flexible. Depending on how "old" the flour is you may have to add more or less. Fresh flour has more air in it so you'll use less. Add the flour by the spoonful to the heated ghee. Stir constantly until it darkens and smells toasty (not burned!). Meanwhile boil the honey and water together scooping off any foam. When the flour/ghee mixture is ready add the boiling honey/water in one continuous pour. Be careful, the mix is explosive. This will puff up nicely and then stir over low heat until all the water is absorbed and the mix comes away the sides of the pan or wok. Let cool for at least a half an hour.
