Guest guest
Sat Nam Mantra yoga yogins I've been doing Long Ek Ong Kars in the morning, but I'm having difficulty finding something thats good and inexpensive to coat my throat. I'm using some kind of spray (12.99 for 2 oz.!!) but I want to know what others use. I'm also using Throat Comfort yogi tea. I'd like to chant longer maybe an hour but need something that'll help my throat. I'm doing 41 minutes. Thanks for the input. Deva

Guest guest
Sat Nam >From my own experience since we chant Long Ek Ong Kars for 2 and a half hours on the birthday of Yogi Bhajan and at other times of the year (New Year's Day, my own and family's birthdays, etc): Have glass of pure water at hand while you are chanting. A sip now and again is very helpful. Be sure you have thoroughly cleansed the monkey glands when you brush your teeth. Gag so your eyes water at least twice (More if you feel a certain heaviness in your throat.) If you do not use potassium alum and salt to cleanse the teeth and throat, start now. At least three to eleven minutes of Breath of Fire will stimulate that area especially if you hold the breath in and out (One-minute Breath works nicely: 20 sec. inhale, 20 sec. exhale, 20 sec. holding the breath out) at the end. Deva Here's a few suggestions (hope something helps) Try focusing on ...vibrating ...instead of chanting. This is done by relaxing the vocal chords and taking more an attitude of feeling the "sound vivbrations" being created in the body. Less strenuous effort and better results. Acurate chanting should be melodious and more gentle. Eventually exterior sound needs to merge with the "inner shabad" which is subtle and etheric. On the physical side, bring the sound from the "nabhi/navel point" and then out into the throat area and out. If this is useless to you, please discard. ________ Find your next car at http://autos..ca
