Guest guest
Sat Nam Deva! Here are a few thoughts. Mudra and Mantra to Help Balance the Throat- 5th Body When your 5th body is strongly developed you have the ability to sacrifice. Self-sacrifice means sacrificing your lower self so that your higher self can serve humanity. The 5th body gives a sense of balance to your life-a person with a developed 5th body takes time for himself. With a strong 5th body you will naturally move towards teaching. Teaching involves sacrifice (L sacrificium: to make sacred) of time & vitality so that others may have vitality to experience their own inner merit. In Buddhi Mudra chant " Ra, ra, ra, ra; Ma, ma, ma, ma; Rama, rama, rama, rama; Sa Ta Na Ma " (we did this at TT I can't remember if it was after you left?) Vigorous Yoga and BOF also builds a strong 5th body. I have witnessed your strength and dedication, and sheer power you bring to your practice..so keep going! Even though sipping water can help it can also put out the tapas we are trying to build. It may be helpful at first but it has been my experience that when the siddhis come into play you are not the one doing the chanting anymore...you don't have any experience with your throat or voice. Maybe you are chanting so powerfully( I saw power as your way ) you could be blocking the energy flow in your throat? Akin to pulling locks so powerfully that you experience the energy surge but also block the energy for long term use, pulsation, radiance etc? Just a few thoughts... Also will you be in Austin again in March? It was so nice having you there with us. Blessings! Guru Ravi
Guest guest
Sat Nam Guru Ravi, It took me a while to connect Rfarley with Guru Ravi Ha! Thanks for your insight, and I should add, all of the responses I've gotten on my question. The truth is I can chant, I've done the 2.5 hrs for Yogi Bhajan's b- day. But I don't do it enough. So when i do I have these questions about whether I'm doing it enough or what. I decided I'm doing ok!haha I also had some good advice from can't remember, someone suggested I wasn't staying down in my belly/diaphragm. I noticed that I was coming up into my throat as I was trying to vibrate. It was wearing my throat faster. What's it for, where are the eyes? I had left. Putting out the tapas, good point. I won't overdo that. Maybe you are chanting > so powerfully( I saw power as your way ) you could be blocking the energy > flow in your throat? --no i think I just need to settle in and experience me chanting. I could be louder and more powerful but the dogs in the neighborhood would probably start howling or barking. :-) I believe I've been 'finding my range' and my limits. As far as Barana Dham, I am holding the intention for that!! It was a very blessed time, an awesome experience different from the other teacher training I had in Austin, it was at a higher level. Honestly I haven't had 'experiences' like that since my earlier years with Kundalini yoga. I know Kathleen said she was driving around in a stupor when she was running errands..hhahahaa How are things in Midland? It sounds as if the whole region has just discovered your studio. And what is Panchen Karma? I know there'a Panchen Lama. blessings, see you soon Deva Kundaliniyoga, rfarley51@a... wrote: > > Sat Nam Deva! > Here are a few thoughts. > > Mudra and Mantra to Help Balance the Throat- 5th Body > When your 5th body is strongly developed you have the ability to sacrifice. > > Self-sacrifice means sacrificing your lower self so that your higher self can > serve humanity. > > The 5th body gives a sense of balance to your life-a person with a developed > 5th body takes time for himself. > > With a strong 5th body you will naturally move towards teaching. > > Teaching involves sacrifice (L sacrificium: to make sacred) of time & > vitality so that others may have vitality to experience their own inner merit. > > In Buddhi Mudra chant " Ra, ra, ra, ra; Ma, ma, ma, ma; Rama, rama, rama, > rama; Sa Ta Na Ma " (we did this at TT I can't remember if it was after you left?) > > Vigorous Yoga and BOF also builds a strong 5th body.
