sodarshan chakra kriya & Depression

Sat Nam

Does anyone know of a published study that showed that

sodarshan chakra kriya was more effective in treating

depression than antidepressants?

Dharma Singh Khalsa, in his book Meditation as

Medicine, mentioned such a study, but didn't give

details. Any help locating it would be appreciated!

After a lifetime battling depression and 1-1/2 yrs on Wellbutrin (which has

been a godsend until my body had a better way of managing life), practicing

Sodarshan Chakra Kriya daily for 90 days turned things around for me. At

first I would shake terribly (but still did 16 full rounds of three stomach

pumps while mentally saying Wahe Guru, not reducing the count). The shakes

led to some sweats, erratic thoughts and sometimes took a bit to recover

from. I began with 3 min, worked up to seven then stayed at 11. On days

things were hectic and I had no privacy, I would do one minute but mentally

keep doing it for the full 11 min. Now Sodarshan is a walk in the park (a

glorious one!!).

I don't have enough words of praise for Sodarshan and wish you a wonderful

unfolding as you practice.
