Guest guest
Sat nam everybody! Im continuing in my practice but i dont feel quite as dynamically charged as before. Nabhi kriya awsome at first, but now after the 10 min. rest period i no longer have this feeling of lightening pulsing through my body instilling me with willpower and confidence. Is this an interval? Similarly with arm kriyas. Will this great sense of fortitude return? After a thousand days? Or does this manafest itself in a more sutble manner? Im interested to hear the responses of the more experienced members of the group.2) Doing gun pati meditation that uses sa-ta-na-ma-ra-ma-da-sa-(do i pause for four beats here?)sa-say-so-hung, as with the healing meditation that uses ra-ma-da mantra or is it continuous. Take care and wishing all the best. Chris, madrid DSL Something to write home about. Just $16.99/mo. or less
Guest guest
Sat Nam Chris, Seems you are going for sensation. Raising the Kundalini is far more than this. Think about it. Guest guest
Sat Nam, Your body's probably gotten used to the more powerful sense that comes with a good strong practice of KY. You've been doing this for a while so there might be a "reaction," with your ego saying something like, "Hey, he's really serious about the yoga and the consciousness thing. Maybe I'll throttle back a bit on the feel good stuff ... see if he keeps up!" More subtle is exactly what will happen. Initially, Kundalini Yoga affects us on the most obvious or grossest levels. (The first time I did front stretch, a really simple and basic exercise, I thought I would fly away into the ethers!!! It was even more intense with exercises like Camel Pose and Shoulder Stand. I don't know how I survived, it must have been the Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo that saved me, Duh!) Anyway, the deeper you go the more subtle things get. Luckily, the deeper you go the deeper (or more subtle) is your understanding. As the old saying goes, Keep up and you will be kept up. Even as you go through negativity about your practice and how it might "interfere" with your life, continue to practice and you will break through it to a very strong and cozy place beyond. As for the pause in ra ma da sa within the gun pati meditation, no there isn't one, just gallop through it rhythmically and from your navel point. Enjoy. Guest guest
Sat Nam Chris: Welcome to Kundalini Yoga! At first you shall be excited! Then you shall be bored! Then you shall seek excitement only to realize that life is not in the excitement. it's in the silence and the emptiness. So the trick is to change your expectation, change your focus. Notice your peace, your more subtle energy. Blessings, Awtar Singh Rochester NY
