Guest guest
Hello Harriet, I am no expert, in fact I do not have much formal training at all. However, I don't think that sounds uncommon at all. I have had experiences ranging from rays or beams of color, to what to me seemed like elaborate dreams. I never could decide what to think of my experiences either. I think anything that just comes, is natural. I am not sure what to tell you but it sounds beautiful. I just thought of a woman I know that may have more insight, I'll let you know. Lacy lillyleaf <lillyleaf wrote: Hi...I wondering about visual images that come to me when I work on chakras. It is common for an image to emerge.....does this happen to anyone else? They are not evoked on purpose, they just come. For example a pearl that glowed from my heart chakra outward. Any information or experience about this would be great. Guest guest
Sat Nam! Yes that is part of the process of any type of Meditation. In the art of Mediatation one practices letting go of any visions, experiences through just witnessing, noticing, so you can open up to the next part of the process. Do you have a teacher? That would be helpful for you. What a beautiful image and gift. Be careful not to analyze the grace out of that gift Keep up! Guest guest
Sat Nam Thank you for responding. I do have a teacher...of sorts...she is learning how to teach and learning herself. She and I have more of a self discovery shared relationship. She is well read and practiced on her own. So..she is more like a yoga friend than anything. I am not able to pay for a teacher and she is not ready to ask for pay. That was long winded..sorry. I am new to Kundalini...but am drawn to it! I agree ..I just accept the gift of a vison and marvel at it. But...am wondering about it all also. I'm not sure what you mean : Mediatation one practices letting go of any visions, experiences through just witnessing, noticing, so you can open up to the next part of the process Can you tell me a bit more about this? I don't have images or visons each time...I love the empty place and go there easy. Again..thanks, Harriet rfarley51 wrote: Sat Nam! Yes that is part of the process of any type of Meditation. Guest guest
Dear Harriet: Visuals can give a lot of information. They can also be a distraction. In Sat Nam Rasayan, a healing practice, Gurudev Singh calls them special effects. Like Gururavi says they are part of the meditation process. So in your experience of seeing a glowing pearl you get a sense of how healthy the chakra you are observing is. Next time you are working on that chakra you can call that image of the pearl and see how it is then in comparison to what you remember from the description you just gave us. It is not about interpreting. It is info helping you to know yourself. Sometimes images are symbolic. Then you need to ask yourself whether what you see is a symbol of something and of what it might be a symbol of. I was working on someone once and did not know images I saw could be symbolic. I saw a man trying to pull a woman out of some flames. When talking with the person I was working on about my visual it did not strike any truth to her at all until she told me that her mom was in heavy depression and there's nothing her father could do to help her and it was painful to him. Images are powerful. Learn how images speak to you, become familiar with your process by giving them freedom and asking questions. They can be a distraction if we get enamored with the visuals and forget to remain grounded in our body experience. then we may create the story/visuals rather than let the images tell their own story.
